I’ve been here loads over the years but this review is based on how it is under the new ownership now they’ve been running it a few months.
Read moreThe space has been done up so is nicer than it used to be but still lacks anything soft to help with the acoustics so it can feel loud. They now bake their own cakes which I love because it means it’s not stuff you can get elsewhere. The menu is still much the same but the vegan scramble has now changed and it’s tasteless mush which means a lot of the menu isn’t as good as it used to be because it’s heavily featured in the vegan options. The food service has got really slow, I’m commenting based upon multiple visits. I don’t go in for takeaway morning rolls anymore because it's so slow.
I still have a lot of love for this place, its so vegan friendly and the staff are all
lovely. But I see it more as a tea and cake place now than breakfast.

Was pleasantly surprised as I stumbled upon this looking for a quick (but hot!)breakfast when my first vegan ootion was closed. I especially liked the well spaced tables and relaxed feel oh and speed the food came!

Lovely place, really friendly staff. Plenty of food options, well worth a visit. My friend had the vegan french toast which she said was very nice, I had scrambled "egg", toast and vacon. I personally wasn't a big fan of the "egg" as I enjoy scrambled tofu more but that's just personal opinion, would visit again!

Been here twice and both times I was not disappointed - had an excellent vegan empire biscuit last time and a vegan ploughman's. Not the cheapest but for all the options it's worth it!

Came in for a vegan breakfast and it did not disappoint!! I had the smashed avo, tofu scramble and bacon with sriracha cashew mayo all on toasted sourdough. It was devine!!

Read moreTheir vegan breakfast is honestly everything I’ve ever needed in life. They give you the option of a huge beast of a breakfast or a slightly smaller one with an included hot drink. They do other things, too, including some vegan cakes which are on display at the front.
The staff are friendly and attentive. Last time I was in, one of the kitchen staff was doing floor work due to staff shortages, I would not have been able to tell she’d had no floor experience, she was a natural!

I had the Victoria Sponge and it was lovely - generous amount of icing and a great texture, not badly priced either (about £3 I think) My sister had a slice of the chocolate banana loaf and also loved it. My parents had the mango and pistachio loaf and found it a tad dry, however it may have been the last slice as it was almost closing time. Overall, a great little cafe and they seem to have some other interesting options like vegan French toast that I will definitely be back one day to try!

Usually get the big vegan breakfast (always good) but fancied a wee change so had the vegan scrambled egg on toast. Not a lot of "egg" for the price but it's the most realistic vegan scrambled egg I've tried!
