rOOTS is an extraordinarily special place that I hope to come across again in my lifetime. as a diehard vegan, I sacrifice 98% of the menu at most restaurants because I don't agree that 98% of their menus are, in fact, food. obviously meat is murder and dairy is theft, angry vegan in a messed up world, yada-yada. at rOOTS I am able to eat 98% of the real food, and by goodness it is GRACIOUS! a few of my favorites: soya gyro with vegan tzatziki, mushroom risotto with vegan parmesan, beetrOOT burger (that is BRIGHT pink my friends), and any appetizer. and the best pina colada (frozen) I've ever had, made with coconut milk. WOW. what can I say, Thank You rOOTS.

To me it's a little bit too gourmet. It has happened so maybe I paid a good amount of money for a meal I end up not liking. For me it depends if it suits your taste. I had 2 good meals though.

The staff speaks a bit English, nearly all the meals are vegan and sound extremely good. Food is freshly good but more expensive compared to other restaurants nearby. But being organic fresh and vegan it is worth the price. Meals start at €6 wich isn’t that much coming from Western Europe.

We ordered a beans burger with baked baby potatoes, vegan caesar's salad and rice with mushrooms. The burger was tasty, the potatoes really good and crispy, the salad was big and delicious with jackfruit inside and vegan cheese, the rice needed a little bit more cooking in my opinion but the sause with mushrooms was very tasty. They could add more options on the menu. At some dishes you have to choose between vegan and vegetarian version.

We came here twice (during only a two days long trip in Thessaloniki), that's how much we loved Roots. The staff is super friendly, and they bring water on the table automatically. The food choice is amazing, their burgers are reaaally good. Every meal is a masterpiece by itself. Please do your tastebuds a favor and have their cheesecake as a dessert (I had the passionfruit one), it's like magic.

Great place near Aristotelous square. The food was delicious and the waitress smiley and friendly. We got the special burger, the stuffed aubergines with guacamole and the cheesecake! Everything was fantastic!

It's so nice to have a mostly vegan restaurant in my town. I'm a college student so it is a little pricy for me, but I do spoil myshelf with one of their burgers from time to time.. The last time I went the had vegan cheese cake and it was the absolutely amazing. If you see it on the menu get it!

It's vegeterian but most of the menu is vegan and clearly labeled. We tried 4 dishes and everything was excellent. It's quite small but very cute. Portions are average size and prices are around 7 euros for a dish. Highly recommend!

Ceny dań przystępne, z napojami ciut gorzej, ale do przeżycia. Lokal bardzo przytulny. Sporo wegańskich dań. Jeśli zamawiacie wegańską opcję wegetariańskiego dania, upewnijcie się, że zakodowali, że ma być wegańskie - mieliśmy jedną wtopę. Ogólnie - polecam :)

There is one Vegetarian dish in the menu, everything else is Vegan! I had the Gyros with the hands cut chips, and all I can say is that it's proper food; good sized portions and lots of flavour. The chocolate cake is outstanding, rich, aromatic and food with pink pepper corns. Prices are fair and not excessive given the very high quality. If you're a Vegan in Thessaloniki this must be the place.

A must go if you find yourself in Greece as a tourist. The gyros is fabulous, but the portion is too big for one person, please try the croquettes with the vegan cheese dip, they are TO DIE FOR, I am so happy i found this place. Highly, Highly recommend!
