Fresh Cashew Milk - Edit
Good array of vegan and gluten free baked goods, great coffee/espresso drinks offering soy, almond, and a delicious creamy fresh cashew milk option. The vegan sandwich on the menu sucks, a couple of bland slabs of tofu, a couple of mushroom slices and little else, mostly bread. A total disappointment since the description on the menu sounds delicious.
Pros: Coffee, Milk Alternatives, Baked Goods
Cons: Understaffed

yummy hippie hideout - Edit
Roots is easy to miss, sitting around the corner near the larger shops (Trader Joes, Coffee Bean, Veggie Grill) but it's worth the fresh meal. A bit pricey for what you get, so if you're starving or have a huge appetite, expect to get a few things or just go when you'd like a smaller meal. Everything I've had there is fresh and organic and made with TLC but I've left wanting more, which is good and bad. The veggie menu is delicious, no complaints there at all. I've had the breakfast and lunch items from sandwiches to the veggie chili. The only problem is they have trouble dealing with larger crowds or the meal rush. Probably due to a small area and staff, it takes a very long time on weekends to get your food, so try to go when there's less of a crowd or pick something from the ready made counter.
Pros: Fresh, delicious, food with a conscience
Cons: slow, smaller portions

Hidden Roots - Edit
This little place is hidden, and that's a shame. i have tried almost all sandwiches and breakfasts and would give 4-5 stars to each. The people there are friendly and accommodating...the oatmeal made with coconut water and served in a green coconut is a delight. Try it...it is right by Trader Joe's.
Pros: food, healthy, friendly
Cons: wish it had garden seating :)
