Customized menu...all delicious - Edit
We tried Rooted AF in Chancery Market while visiting Wilmington for a concert. The market is a very cool space with several options available so there's something for your non-vegan friends and family to eat together, while you get some delicious vegan grub!
Read moreMy husband got the Rasta Pasta which has a wonderful flavorful spice to it and was served in a beautiful bowl. I got the Pinky Cole with "chicken" and a side of fries. The homemade faux chicken was excellent on a toasted roll with kale and mushrooms and the fries were some of the best I've had!
We also got a red velvet truffle cup and strawberry shortcake cup for dessert but I forgot to photograph them before digging in. They were a delightfully sweet ending to the meal.
Pros: All vegan menu, Homemade "faux" meat (not Impossible or Beyond)

Great spot to grab a quick bite or hang out! - Edit
Great quick vegan eats in a modern environment. Get it to go or stay and hang out on one of the couches near the fireplace. Really fun vegan wraps and sandwiches. I’m so glad I stumbled upon this place!

I got the “Hot Girl” wrap with a side salad and the elderberry ginger drink. Everything was absolutely delicious! Plus I love knowing that all the menu items are vegan. Definitely go here if you get the chance!

This was an AMAZING stop after the worst traffic jam ever—that empanada was in the top five best things I have ever eaten, and now I have to go back and eat more. Perfect venue for traveling in a mixed group-my partner ate a burger from one of the other stalls, and I had the Black AF lemonade (sweeter than I like, but so black! So much fun!) and the Izzo was spicy good—ate half with the empanada, and had the rest the next day. I have never thought about WIlmington as a place to eat— I will now make it a point to stop here!

The food was delicious and well seasoned. I gave 4 stars l purchased the loaded sweet baked potato but the potato was cold, and it was an unreasonable long wait (1.5hrs) to get my food. It was a busy Sunday lunch with only one person serving the customers. I will eat there ago but will make sure the potato is warm and order online early.

The menu isn't super broad, and has a heavy focus on what I would call "health" smoothies and juices, which isn't really my cup of tea. I would say about half of their offerings fall into this category.
I did enjoy the food that I had! The food on the menu, while not incredibly extensive, does have a few categories. Sandwiches/wraps, stuffed sweet potato, fries, a salad, a daily dessert, and empanadas. It's casual comfort foods.
I could definitely recommend going there.
Pros: 100% vegan, roots-focused, food is good

I've wanted to try this place for a bit and I definitely wasn't disappointed. The empanadas were delicious and my crispy chicken wrap was stuffed with fresh veggies which I love. The service is friendly and knowledgeable and I will definitely be back.

I was really looking forward to the loaded sweet potato. The sweet potato itself was delish, with crispy skin. The toppings were overall fine but the chunks of unseasoned plain beyond burger was unpleasant. Would have been better either without it, or by enhancing the flavor. Partner had the « hot girl » wrap. It was tasty, if unoriginal and with room for improvement. It had plain nuggets which were kind of dry. The chickpea curry empanada was good.

1st time here. It was after 5:30pm so parking was free. Service was friendly. Empanadas drew me in. I had one of each. Not the traditional empanada that I grew up on but they were both good and unique. The beef and cheese had a nice flavor to it. The curry chickpea was my favorite out of the two. Both had a kick. Not overwhelming but enough to notice. I moved into the pinky Cole. Bread was nice and soft. The cheesesteak, onions, peppers and signature cheese sauce were also good. The jerk was present … it had a nice kick to it also! If you are sensitive to heat, make sure you say something. Fries were delicious (eat them while they are hot). I enjoyed my meal and I would come again to try new items .

This place was really easy to get to, has dedicated parking, is in a gorgeous building (especially when decorated for the holidays), and the food was DELICIOUS. The staff were absolutely phenomenal, welcoming, and patient while I decided what to eat. Everything sounded amazing, so it was hard to decide.

I'm super grateful that this spot had at least one savory option I could enjoy because I drove 20 or so minutes on an empty stomach to support them. I wanted to support them some more than I did but I am not a fan of the plant lab meats. So I purchased the curry chickpea empanadas and got jerk sauce (does not come with it, but I requested it) to pour on it🤤if you can't handle heat don't do that 😄. I was also happy to see they had a dessert of my liking ,large carrot cake cupcakes(forgot to take a pic😕 but it was so good). I purchased a bar of soap that I will give a 10 out of 10 by itself😎🔥. If you are new to the plant life I encourage you to visit and support.

This woman owned all vegan business was the perfect spot for lunch with my non vegan sister. It was a quiet Sunday, and the only place in this food court that was hopping was Rooted AF! That is because you are greeted like family and the food is hand prepared to satisfy you!
