Good vegan spot in Wilmington - Edit
We enjoyed rooted AF. We had the chopped cheese, the hot girl, the empanadas, fries, and the dessert of the day. All of it was excellent. We’ll be back!

I was really looking forward to the loaded sweet potato. The sweet potato itself was delish, with crispy skin. The toppings were overall fine but the chunks of unseasoned plain beyond burger was unpleasant. Would have been better either without it, or by enhancing the flavor. Partner had the « hot girl » wrap. It was tasty, if unoriginal and with room for improvement. It had plain nuggets which were kind of dry. The chickpea curry empanada was good.

1st time here. It was after 5:30pm so parking was free. Service was friendly. Empanadas drew me in. I had one of each. Not the traditional empanada that I grew up on but they were both good and unique. The beef and cheese had a nice flavor to it. The curry chickpea was my favorite out of the two. Both had a kick. Not overwhelming but enough to notice. I moved into the pinky Cole. Bread was nice and soft. The cheesesteak, onions, peppers and signature cheese sauce were also good. The jerk was present … it had a nice kick to it also! If you are sensitive to heat, make sure you say something. Fries were delicious (eat them while they are hot). I enjoyed my meal and I would come again to try new items .

Great option in Wilmington! - Edit
This place was really easy to get to, has dedicated parking, is in a gorgeous building (especially when decorated for the holidays), and the food was DELICIOUS. The staff were absolutely phenomenal, welcoming, and patient while I decided what to eat. Everything sounded amazing, so it was hard to decide.

I can’t wait to go back!

I'm super grateful that this spot had at least one savory option I could enjoy because I drove 20 or so minutes on an empty stomach to support them. I wanted to support them some more than I did but I am not a fan of the plant lab meats. So I purchased the curry chickpea empanadas and got jerk sauce (does not come with it, but I requested it) to pour on it🤤if you can't handle heat don't do that 😄. I was also happy to see they had a dessert of my liking ,large carrot cake cupcakes(forgot to take a pic😕 but it was so good). I purchased a bar of soap that I will give a 10 out of 10 by itself😎🔥. If you are new to the plant life I encourage you to visit and support.

I got the chopped chicken and cheese on fries and it was delicious! Also got a stuffed sweet potato to go. It was good but I ate it as leftovers so I can imagine it would be better fresh .

1st experience I didn’t even order food as the server behind the counter was rude. 2nd trip I ordered the jicama “wrap” and it was literally the size of my palm. Full of grease and terrible flavor. Don’t recommend this place at all

This woman owned all vegan business was the perfect spot for lunch with my non vegan sister. It was a quiet Sunday, and the only place in this food court that was hopping was Rooted AF! That is because you are greeted like family and the food is hand prepared to satisfy you!
