Tasty vegan food in a cosy storefront - Edit
We found Root 8 last summer when we were biking from Burlington to St. Catharine's and looking for somewhere to eat on the way. We were so happy to find a fully vegan restaurant in the area and really enjoyed our meal. We had the Buddha Bowl and a panini with fries. The women working there were very friendly. We unfortunately weren't able to take any of the baked goods to go, but they looked great.

Amazingly delicious fully vegan and gluten free menu. Every item is excellent. Very good juices and smoothies. Decadent desserts. Lots of vegan protein sources. Delicious garlic bread.

I loved this cute place. I had a Caesar salad with buffalo cauliflower wings. It was so darn good. One of the best vegan meals I've had. My friend who is not vegan had the burger and loved it. Portions are large and wasn't overly expensive. Also great customer service.

We have to agree that the cauliflower wings are some of the best faux wings we've ever tasted - crispy, spicy, delicious! Complimentary corn chips come with a delicious green mango salsa. The restaurant is small but aesthetically pleasing, including the bathroom! Portions are generous. The food is a bit pricey, but you are paying for quality. I could not believe that the chocolate-chip cookie we had at the end was vegan! Hope that this place stays around for a long time!

We went here last weekend, while visiting friends in Grimsby, Ontario. Staff were nice & food was good. Their fare is on the healthy side, with mostly salads & bowls with lots of noodled raw vegetables & minimal salt.

However, the menu was pretty limited & the meal didn't quite rate 5 stars from me (some of the big city places have more to offer). Their drinks (juices, smoothies, kombucha) menu is extensive, though.
The venue/decor was cute, but fairly typical for smaller, cafe-style vegan restaurants. Staff was nice.
