I love that they have a vegan menu. I had to request it each time I came in though.
Read moreThe el chapo tacos are my favorite, and the vegan chicken is pretty good.
They host drag nights which are really fun if you’re looking for something to do.
My biggest complaint is that they had free tickets available for an animal circus. You have to be incredibly cruel to still be complicit in that.

Great Plant Based menu - Edit
We had brunch at Roost and I am the only vegan in my family - so this was perfect for us. I had the Root Hash and it was a fabulous vegan breakfast! They truly had the most extensive options for vegan breakfast that I have seen in my travels. The non-Vegans also enjoyed their breakfast options. They particularly liked the vegetarian Fried Green Tomatoes. So pleased to see this option in York!!

Nice vegan brunch! - Edit
I've been brunching here with a vegan meetup group once a month for the last few months. I love that Roost offers a consistent plant-based menu with more than a dozen brunch options to choose from -- plus a whole other menu of plant-based pizzas, veggie burgers and such from their adjacent restaurant Archetype Pizza. My personal favorites are the Scramble Skillet, pictured here (root veg hash, plant-based sausage, onions, green pepper, plant-based cheddar, Just Egg) and the Fun Guy (spinach, mushroom, onion, plant-based mozzarella, Just Egg). I only wish they'd also offer healthy light fare with fresh fruits and veggies. Prices are reasonable and service is always prompt and friendly.

Personally, I wasn’t a fan. My vegan dish was served with eggs. The flavors weren’t tasty to me. The texture wasn’t desirable.

Amazing vegan food and very accommodating! Great specials on Fridays too! I highly recommend the breakfast burrito and the po boy! Everything I’ve had has been fantastic though! Give them a try!
