Opened late-2014 this bistro serves vegan and raw-vegan dishes (from 8pm) inspired by local and international cuisines. Diners eat in the company of six cats who wander around the tables. Cozy atmosphere. Reservations are required for dinner, usually 5+ days in advance. Kitchen is open 10AM-11:30AM (breakfast) / 1PM-2:30PM (lunch) / 4PM-6:30PM (afternoon snack) / 8PM-10:30PM (dinner). Open Tue-Sun 10:00-11:30, 13:00-14:30, 16:00-18:30, 20:00-22:30. Closed Mon.

As a cat lover and vegan foodie, this was almost too good to be true!!! There were 4 cats when we visited for dinner. They are all very sweet and tolerate petting, but do not typically approach guests. But so cute and great entertainment! The food was delicious. We loved everything we tried and amazing it is all vegan. Could not be happier and don’t miss out when you visit Rome!

È stata un'esperienza magica e squisita quella avuta in questo delizioso bistrot, in compagnia di cinque meravigliosi gattoni. Cucina gourmet eccellente e molto ben presentata, servizio impeccabile e bella atmosfera. Non economico però per la qualità del cibo vale quello che costa.

First class food, highest quality, best vegan restaurant food I’ve had in the world. Being vegan chefs we have high expectations and Romeow’s exceeded it with incredibly delicious inspiring next level dishes on their dinner menu. We had 5 dishes and from the taste and quality know that everything will be to the same standard. The pricing reflects the high quality of the food. If you’re a budget traveler, save a few extra euros and treat yourself, you will not regret it. The set menu of 6 courses is 60euros at time of writing.

Staff wonderful, pancakes amazing and cats the best - Edit
What more can you wish for? We tried the breakfast pancakes with maple syrup and the raw cake of the day (peanut butter). Also had a nice kombucha and a fresh juice with carrot, pineapple, apple & ginger. The price you pay is high but it’s really instead of paying “entrance” like most other cat cafés around the world. You have to buy at least one drink and something to eat per person.

A cosy place with good all vegan food, good coffee and nice cats. We've been there for breakfast on a weekday and it was very quiet, just one other couple was there, so there was no need to make a reservation. Maybe this is different on the weekend. The staff was friendly and the cats looked healthy and they have a lot of space. It's really expensive though (cappuccino and cake for 13€)

Fusion kitchen and nice location hosted by lovely cats and gentle staff. All dishes were delicious : starters, pasta, tofu, tempeh, sweets. Booked a table for 4, so we all shared our choices and tasted almost whole menu.! Highly recommended if you want spend a great moment with vegan food (and vegan wine too!).

Fantastico in tutto, i piatti sono vegani buonissimi e fantasiosi. Ovviamente non è per tutti i giorni, i prezzi sono leggermente alti ma giustificati sia dalla cucina che da tutto il contesto. La proprietaria è molto attenta e sempre carina, tutto lo staff lo è. E poi vabbè, ci sono i gatti che altro aggiungere.

This was the first cat cafe I’ve ever visited in my life as I’ve heard a lot of bad things about some in the UK so I’ve avoided them, as I worry they’re not ethical and good for the cats. This one in Rome was the first fully vegan cat cafe I’d ever heard of and they only had 5 cats here which is a big enough number so they aren’t all cramped and distressed! The cats seemed happy enough, most were sleeping and they also had a hide out upstairs to escape the busy cafe. The food was amazing to be honest - quite a fine dining experience. I had the Easter special set menu which was a bit pricey tbf at €60 lunch. But I was happy to pay it to help funds for the cats, and also as I said - the food was very great. If you visit - don’t chase the cats. Wait til they come to you, and never disturb them when they’re sleeping. 🧡

We had the best time visiting one evening in Rome during our stay. The hosts were very friendly and spoke English well (lucky for us!) an the cats were all beautiful. We booked the day before to avoid disappointment as the evenings book up quickly.

We came to late for lunch, so we had a sandwich with avocado, dried tomatoes, rucola and olive paste. For dessert we had a creamy cheesecake with raspberry sauce and a raw cake with peers and chocolate. It was very delicious! The place was super lovely and also the stuff was very friendly. On top there are some cats living there and when you are lucky you can see them walking around or sleeping in their baskets.

Well yes, you will be eating in the company of these feline friends who snooze, roam the place, and sometimes seek cuddles from customers.
The nice thing is that there are rules of good behavior that are handed out as soon as you sit down at the table to behave in the best possible way with the kitties. This is what makes this place beautiful, respectful and welcoming.
But let's not forget about the food! The food at Romeow is really good, with a seasonal menu and some really unique, refined, and flavorful dishes.
I had the opportunity to taste their savory version of Pain Perdu with asparagus and I can say without a doubt that it is one of the best dishes I have ever tasted ever.
If you go to Rome go say hello to the cats at Romeow Cat Bistrot!

We spent just the weekend in Rome and had the most delicious meal here. We got a taxi as it’s about 3/4KM out of the main city but the staff and cats were all really friendly and the food was delicious!
