Opened late-2014 this bistro serves vegan and raw-vegan dishes (from 8pm) inspired by local and international cuisines. Diners eat in the company of six cats who wander around the tables. Cozy atmosphere. Reservations are required for dinner, usually 5+ days in advance. Kitchen is open 10AM-11:30AM (breakfast) / 1PM-2:30PM (lunch) / 4PM-6:30PM (afternoon snack) / 8PM-10:30PM (dinner). Open Tue-Sun 10:00-11:30, 13:00-14:30, 16:00-18:30, 20:00-22:30. Closed Mon.

Great food, cute cats - Edit
Romeow was by far the best cat cafe we have ever been to, both in relation to the food and the care for the cats. The place is tastefully decorated, the cats are relaxed and several groups of locals seemed to genuinely to come just for the food.

This is a beautiful place with elevated cuisine... And cats!! We saw 6 cats today (I hear there are 8 but the other 2 must have been hiding).
Read moreThe resident cats here seem very happy with plenty of high places - and even outdoor catio access - for them to relax in when they have had enough attention. When we arrived most of the cats were sleeping but 3 did wake up and want attention from us before the end of our visit. All were very sweet and friendly.

Amazing tiramisu and the sweetest cats - Edit
Were lucky to get a reservation on the same day as it was a weekday. Had ravioli and tiramisu and raw cake, it was lovely. Highlight was when one of the cats came and laid down with us when we were eating. No flash photography

Editing a previous review and changing my rating from 5 stars to 4 stars. When I came here on my first trip, I really enjoyed the creamy pasta dish and the cheesecake, although I found the tempeh dish a little lacking.

The maki jackfruit taco wrapped in seaweed was by far the best thing - very unique and delicious with the sticky rice and fishy jackfruit - but the cheesecake I remembered so fondly didn't really taste like cheesecake. It was good, but it mostly tasted like whipped cream on a biscuit base - I've had much more authentic vegan cheesecakes since my first one here. The shaved seitan dish was also pretty good, but the ravioli was just okay.

The food was unbelievably good and the cats were the best. I loved everything so much! We went there during breakfast so all the food we tasted are from the morning menu. A must visit for every cat lover and vegan in Rome.

This is a must visit spot if you are vegan and a cat lover! The food was insane, the ravioli (which I didn’t get a pic of) was one of the best dishes I’ve had in Rome.

The food is refined gourmet. Full of flavour and creativity - the skill and imagination is clear to see. The portion sizes are a bit small but you can always head next door to the vegan bakery. The environment for the cats is wonderful, they are genuinely loved and looked after unlike the cat cafe in London

The atmosphere is cool, and the cats are awesome! However, the food is really bad! We ordered an almond ricotta starter, and it was literally a bowl of thick cheese that we were supposed to eat with a spoon, I guess? The second course was the best thing we had. It was supposed to be creamy (but was more gluey)- an undercooked spaghetti with too many capers and olives resulting in it being overly salty. The third course was sour tasting tofu, like…super sour served with lukewarm and weirdly lemony sweet potatoes, squinchy avocado cream and soggy sweet potato chips. We couldn’t even eat it, paid $100 Euro, and left before my husband got sick. Super disappointing!

Had a delicious meal here😄We ordered one of each course per person which left us totally stuffed, but was doable if you are really going for it. I was initially a little skeptical that this place would be gimmicky based on the name and the fact that it is also a cat cafe, but honestly the food was amazing and it had a fine dining vibe.

Not really baby friendly either, there is no changing table and they haven’t helped me find a spot to change my kid.

I overheard some older lady saying "you really can't tell this food is vegan", but I feel like eating at Romeow's helps you understand being vegan is not a matter of excluding (certain "ingredients") but rather of including (new flavours and people)! Lovely atmosphere, the cats are super nice but please make sure to read the House Rules on how to properly and respectfully interact with them if you go there

This was an incredible experience that combined elements of fine dining with the joy of cuddling with animals. I adore this place, not only for its efficient and friendly staff and the presence of adorable cats all around, but the real highlight is the outstanding food! Quirky cafe outside of the city centre. Service really friendly and engaging and the cats were a fun aspect. Food was really tasty, but it is on the more expensive side and the portions could potentially be a little bigger.

A visit to this cafe is a fabulous experience. The cafe itself is cute and attractive. The cats are happy, friendly and respected. The staff are friendly (speak English and Italian), helpful and gently advocate the cafes aims. And then the food: it was beyond. Best vegan cheesecake I’ve eaten (vegan 6 years) and delicious, fresh, crostata.

A lot of emphasis is put on the comfort of the cats. They are in no way presented as entertainment for the diners. The food was delicious, staff was nice, the cats were clearly comfortable. A lovely little dining experience. They sat us upstairs which was a little less comfortable because the tables were low and there were fewer cats. We don’t live in Italy but if I could come again I’d request a table downstairs.

The first time I’ve ever loved a jackfruit dish, I’m inspired now. Each dish was a delight. So creative and beautifully presented. Special mention for the vegan almond ricotta and feta, both were stunning. Extra points for getting to see happy cats snoozing while we ate.

Delicious vegan dishes with cats on top! - Edit
We tasted our way through half the menu. We enjoyed all dishes and were pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. The staff were very friendly, the atmosphere relaxed and the interior nicely decorated.
