It's there, wish it were better - Edit
We live in Presque Isle so we've been here a number of times. It's... fine. The best option for vegans, we have found, is to get the large bowl of chili and a side of fries each. The staff are kind but most of them don't have a good handle on what veganism is or how to alter the menu, so they typically just point to the chili as the option for us. The chili is tasty, but not very filling, and often only available at lunch. Sometimes they have a hot cauliflower app that, without the dip, is vegan.
Read moreYou can modify the salads somewhat, but their vegan substitution "bench" is limited (not easy to add avocado or vegan croutons or fruit or things like that to make the salads better without cheese/meat). Overall, they are focused on meat and vegan requests can catch them off-guard. They also a bit pricey for what you get - kind of trying to be the upscale option in the area, but honestly, whether it's because they are rural (not many staff) or the money is tight, it's just not quite there.
I wish they had more vegan dinner options that were filling, even just a Beyond Burger or something (on not a brioche bun!). They do rotate their menu and sometimes have pasta options that are probably easily modified to be vegan, though honestly we just don't go there very much, so we haven't tried this too often. But there aren't many options in Presque Isle, so it's useful to have Rodney's there. The beer selection is good.
Pros: Listed vegan chili on the menu (for lunch), Good beer selection, Staff are friendly
Cons: Only vegan chili, small and not filling, Staff are not great an adapting menu, Very meat-and-cheese logic, hard to veganize
