THIS PLACE IS HEAVEN!! Soooooo many great things to eat. I hadn't had French toast in years and the one here with 'bacon' and syrup was just gorgeous. Also a sandwich with potato salad very nice too. Lots of treats to buy like a delicious danish as well as wonderful biscotti.

Wonderful soups! - Edit
I really loved the tomato vegetable soup here, and the bread that came with it was generous. The coffee was good too! The baked goods looked delicious but I didn’t order one.

OK - Edit
Have ordered from here twice - tried a total of 4 different sandwiches and 2 pasta dishes. HEAVY on the oils/butter/mayo. I recently actually put the pesto pasta in a colander and let the oil drain out. Very fun menu and I wanted to love it, but the food makes me feel sick.

Gluten-free and vegan - yes please! - Edit
I had time to kill on a cold day, so I stopped in. I am glad I did!
Read moreOne of their offerings was a vegan turmeric latte! And they also had a vegan whim as one of their daily specials. And the bread is great too.
I will be back again soon.
.EDIT:
Their new location has a totally vegan menu, and some of those are also gluten-free! (It’s hard to find both!)
I love the gluten-free lasagna!]
Now also open on Monday, and serving breakfast everyday (except Sunday when they’re closed).

They now also offer gluten-free bread (including gluten-free garlic bread)! All Italian dishes are gluten-free, and some of the pastries and cookies are also gluten-free. They also now offer Pakistani dishes and specialty coffees!

This place is a true gem!! They open at 8 or 9 but don’t serve food till 11:00. Not being from the area, we didn’t know. But we decided to stick around and order when the time came and boy, are we glad we did. We started with cappuccino and a matcha latte with a pain au chocolat and a blueberry crumble muffin….all delicious. We also got a few loaves of their baked breads. The loaves are $7 BUT they accept “pay what you can” OR they have tickets for two free loaves if your in need. So aside from incredible food, Rock Hill Bakehouse has an incredible moral philosophy!! I don’t think I’ve ever encountered such a generous offe from a restaurant.
Read moreSo back to the food….we got the Granny Smith (Seitan, cheez, granny smith apples on cinnamon raisin bread) and the Reuben. Both sammies were awesome and flavorful. The sandwiches are good sizes and well priced. We got chips and a pickle for sides. We also got the Yellow Dal. The spices were perfect. We bought a frozen container to bring home with us. As I was going in to pick up our order, I chatted with a lady picking up her food. She said she is not vegan but eats here all the time cuz the food is so good. To me, that is the ultimate compliment for a fully vegan eatery. Well done Rock Hill! We will DEFINITELY be back!!
Pros: Fully vegan, Amazingly friendly staff, Flavorful and well priced food

We go here weekly! - Edit
Absolutely love going to rock hill for lunch. My friends and I often end up here at least once a week. With a fully vegan menu, there are plenty of options everyone can enjoy. I appreciate the homemade “burger” and alternative cheeses they may. Also, they are a full bread bakery so their bread selection is divine. If you get an inkling for dessert later, try one of their many delicious baked goods! Like I said, I am a huge fan and love going for the ambiance and wonderful staff. Hope everyone gets to experience it some day.

We went twice in one day - Edit
I can't describe enough how much I love this place. They give free bread to those who need it?? Incredible. Their food is all amazing, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff is so friendly. We went for lunch, went out for a hike, and came back for dinner 😆 The BLT sandwich was particularly good, as was the mac n cheese. And all their bread of course. Can't recommend enough!

A MUST GO - Edit
I live about 4.5 hours away but have family up in the area. Sometimes the main driving force of a visit is to get food here. I get the Granny Smith sandwich every time without fail. I’ve also tried one of the pizzas (delicious), the Reuben (delicious), a variety of baked goods (delicious), and their sourdough and onion rye loaves.
Read moreThey also have AMAZING hot chocolate - but it isn’t on the menu! Just ask!
If you’re in the area you really have to go here.
Pros: Large, delicious menu , Great ambiance, lots of room, Fresh baked goods

Run, don’t walk, to this place, and shove aside anyone who’s in your way. It’s that good.
Read moreWe had the BLT, the Reuben, and the cinnamon roll (which, by the way, was as big as a small child’s head). All were knee-buckling delicious. Fresh bread, delicious seitan, and they’re nice people, too (their loaves are pay-what-you-can).
These folks know what they’re doing. Don’t pass this one by.
Pros: All vegan, The gigantic cinnamon roll was only $4.50!!!
Cons: The BLT made my wife moan like I never could

The energy of this spot and the food were awesome.
Read moreI got the Pastrahmi Sandwich, which being a Jew from NY, deli food hasn’t been easy to come by.
Didn’t even know Zevia made a faux Dr Browns Black Cherry.
The meal was great as was the Sourdough Bread I took home. And read the pay what you can sign. Omg.
I regrettably didn’t get desserts here as I checked out another spot. Next time.

I stopped in last week to scope it out and then today I went for breakfast. I got a chocolate oat milk latté and a cinnamon roll and ordered the apple danish and chocolate croissant to go. Everything was incredibly delicious! There are board games free to use or books to read, wonderful vibe and music, friendly staff, bread is pay what you can, you can also watch the bakers make the bread and overall this is just a wonderful place! I will be making this a weekly stop.

My boyfriend and I stopped here on a road trip, and I’m so glad we did. We split the reuben and a cinnamon bun, and it was so satisfying! The sandwich was incredible, awesome bread… and the cinnamon bun was literally massive. It was honestly a heavenly experience, I wish I lived anywhere near here!

Rock Hill makes the best bread I have ever had. Their pizza and homemade veggie burger is great as well. They acted responibly and shut down when their was a potential COVID contamination and they are not afraid to support animal activist causes. Everything a vegan restaurant should be.
