Phenomenal! - Edit
Everything on the menu is excellent! This place is much more than you would expect to find in a small town in Upstate New York. If you’re in town, definitely include this in your itinerary.

A Bit Difficult To Find, But SO Worth It! - Edit
Our GPS brought us to the side of the building… once we found the front door it was like you could hear the plant-based angels singing!! We had a pizza and a sandwich with the amazing cookie-dough side (for once we couldn’t eat it all but started so quickly that we forgot pictures) and even though I don’t normally drink coffee the Iced Latte to go (that we did take a picture of) had to come home with us, but may have only lasted 20 minutes or so!!!

I was so happy to find this place; I’m not big on baked goods and fake meat, but luckily they had some Pakistani menu options, lovely beverages, and also they sold Primo chocolates out of the fridge case!!! Obsessed with Primo.

Wow, this place was so amazing. My husband and I both got the breakfast sandwich (the best we’ve ever had) and then we also got food to go for lunch and dinner! The Ruben was delish even cold after sitting out for a few hours. We got a cinnamon raisin loaf as well and it was very good!

Amazing food and ambiance - Edit
First off, it is on site of their bakery so you can quite literally watch the bread and baked goods being made. The coffee is super yummy! And I love the menu. I had gotten only the breakfast items when I went, but all items were delicious.

Pretty good! - Edit
We stopped here on our trip to six flags great escape, since it seems like the only all vegan option in the area. We grabbed the dal tarka, and the bakon & scramble as well as some hole-free sourdough bagels and a sandwich for later. (And a pistachio biscotti and big chocolate chip cookie)
Read moreThe dal was good, flavorful, if a bit salty. (I took an enzyme, but was still burping more than 4.5 hours later, so…) The rice was nicely cooked. (We got there shortly after they opened, so it was super fresh). The bakon was adequate. Clearly made from a slab of gluten. A little too floppy. The scramble was disappointing. The flavor was there, but it was like mush. My husband couldn’t eat more than a few bites. I ended up eating it inside one of the bagels later. (I’m less willing to waste food, and it was a perfectly flavorful tofu based sandwich filling, just not a scramble.)
Along with the scramble, there were 2 pieces of toast. One plain, and the other was cinnamon raisin. They were both really nice. Very crusty.
For the to-go sandwich it was nice that they packed the moist items separately. The guac and mayo each were packed into 2 oz condiment cups. We had enough to use on other sandwiches later. (Helpful to have extras to enhance your makeshift sandwiches while on the road)
The hole-less bagels were not exactly like bagels. The bottoms were dusted like you’d see on a loaf. They were more like tiny boules. I much preferred the jalapeño one. It was much more tender than the plain sourdough one, and it didn’t seem spicy at all. We had a quarter of the plain sourdough one left the next day and it had gotten excessively hard. But we managed to finish it.
Lastly, we had a chocolate chip cookie and a pistachio biscotti. The biscotti wasn’t all that cookie-like. More soft and bready than I expected. The cookie was straightforward, and tasted like a classic bakery cookie. Just the right amount of chips to dough ratio.

Wonderful vegan food in unexpected place! - Edit
We're on vacation from Florida and we were so thrilled to find a fully plant-based restaurant up here. We finished our white water adventure and stopped here for lunch. The place is lovely. They have native pollinator plants out front. The inside is also open and airy. Nice vibe. You can see the bakers baking the bread through a large window. The smell is wonderful. We were greeted by a lovely young person who took our order. The food was delicious. I had the Ruben and potato salad. The potato salad tasted like my mom used to make. They have Kombucha available as well. I left with vegan biscotti, a loaf of sour dough bread, a smile, and a full tummy. We would eat here all the time if we lived here. I can't recommend this place enough.

Sweet Bakery and Cafe - Edit
We were super excited to see that this is a fully vegan cafe. Lots of fresh breads and a bakery case. The menu has a lot of great options and there is something for everyone. There are daily specials as well. The employees were so nice and helpful and really make the cafe a very inviting space. This is a great place as well for coffees, cappuccino and lattes.

Vegan in a small town - Edit
It’s so nice to find a fully vegan restaurant in a small town while on a road trip. We has Seitan Buffalo wings with homemade blue cheeze, I had the Reuben and my husband had a BLT. They bake all their own bread. Everything was delicious. Nice warm atmosphere. We plan to go back tomorrow for breakfast before continuing on.

Total bummer, complete disappointment. - Edit
Service and "ambiance" if a bakery can actually HAVE ambiance, were fine. Bread (Italian, round loaf, from behind the counter) was disgusting. Hard, dry, stale. Toasting did not improve it. French toast barely made it palatable. Huge disappointment, real bummer after a 45 minute trip to get there. I have had better day old bread from other bakeries far better than this allegedly fresh bread. Avoid at all costs - can you imagine paying 14 bucks for a grilled cheese sandwich and having the bread be so stale as to be hard??
Read moreOn the plus side the place was well lit and quite clean, had lots of parking and seating room, and the counter staffer was knowledgeable and friendly.
Pros: Clean, Well lit, Good parking
Cons: The bread was hard, stale, and tasteless

Excellent - Edit
This is an exceptionally nice café and bakery. Everything is vegan. The staff are sweet and helpful. The portions are plentiful, and the prices are quite reasonable. I ordered a small salad, and it was easily the size of a large salad and other restaurants. There are lots of choices on the menu, including a variety of salads and sandwiches, breakfast foods, coffee, and other drinks, as well as other specialties, including baked goods, pizza and veggie burgers. This is the kind of place you want to go back to and work your way through the menu. I love it. I am definitely going back.

Tasty pit stop! - Edit
Must-eat pit stop between NYC and Montreal. They make their breads in house and you can watch the action. Reuben sandwich was delicious. My partner’s game changer sandwich received rave reviews for the seitan bacon. Classic potato salad. Did not partake in a baked treat but it all looked great. Only meh was the pickle.

Delicious lunch stop in Whitehall - Edit
We stopped in Whitehall for lunch on our way further north. My non-vegan husband got the Rueben and said it was good. I got the buffalo seitan sandwich, it was really delicious. Often seitan sandwiches can be too thick/tough but this was great!! The side of potato salad was also yummy. The baked goods looked awesome in the display case. Highly recommend!
