Their salad size was a joke - Edit
We had our food to go. I ordered a $17 salad and it was the size of a side salad (I'm not kidding). I didn't get the salad I ordered, I got a $12 salad. It tasted okay but I was starving afterwards. My husband got the Robin's Chow pasta and it was good. The egg rolls are tiny but they tasted okay.

Vegan brunch in the garden - Edit
We had a lovely vegan Sunday Brunch in the garden at Robin's. Staff was lovely and well versed in the vegan options available. We are adding this to our must go list when we visit the central coast. Appetizers, salads, marinas, and brunch drinks! Yum

Read moreAfter a week of road-tripping and eating fries because it was always the only vegan option, eating at Robin's was a breath of fresh air!! There are few vegan options but the food was soooo tasty. Everything went together really well, the seasoning was perfect, I loved it. I enjoyed my time here even though it was quite expensive + the staff wasn't really friendly. Would however go back next time I'm in Cambria.

A quaint restaurant in a pretty small town. The menu is limited, and there are only a few vegan options, but wow, the food is great! Service was fast, outdoor patio is really pretty. A great lynch place!!

Let me start by saying, I am super appreciative that they offer vegan options here. I went on Thanksgiving where they had a special menu. I ordered the fettuccine and it was the most bland pasta I’ve ever had. It had no flavor at all (not even any salt or pepper). I ate it because I was hungry but was not very impressed.

We ordered take out from robins and the lady who took our order was very patient and knowledgeable on vegan food so she made it easy for us to order. She sent us a link via text to pay for the bill which was also convenient. My husband and I split the cauliflower curry which was a tad spicy I’ll get it again but ask for mild. We also ordered the pesto pasta with no cheese. It was a tad bland but a little salt helped. Overall very happy with the quality of food and service. Will be going back.

Was very excited to sit in their garden. So many people wandering around without masks and lack of regard for social distancing. Decided to get takeout and eat across the street. Ordered the cauliflower tempura curry- it arrived as cauliflower tempura, rice, and the green chicken curry. We took the curry back and the kitchen staff was extremely rude and tried to call us out for lying. They did remake the vegan curry, although the vegetables were extremely underdone. Also, the prices are insane for the amount of food you get. Do not recommend!

Soup of the day was a vegan Mexican tortilla soup and green salad and spinach salads were all excellent. Very attentive service. Beautiful outside seating. We loved our vegan ice cream sundae for dessert! Good portobello sandwich as well

Charming Spot with Good Vegan Options - Edit
My husband and I spent the day in Cambria on a recent anniversary trip to Central California, and Robin's was part of the recent we made the stop. The reviews he'd seen here had piqued his curiosity! First of all, the spot is charming and I love the vintage house they created the restaurant from. Secondly, we loved the fresh farmers market produce used in our dishes. It was a tad confusing that they have 4 different menus: lunch, midday, dinner and brunch. We happened to arrive during the mid day menu time, and we weren't terribly hungry, so we split a Meze Plate and Robin's Garden Salad with the vegan dressing option. Our server kindly split the salad onto two plates, and he even brought out more of the housemade naan when my hubby pointed out that we had leftover chutney, hummus etc. The enclosed patio area was bright and airy, just perfect for daytime dining. I'd be curious to see what the vibes are like here at night.

We were happy to see a place with vegan options after exploring Hearst Castle and seeing the elephant seals. Our server was very friendly and helpful. We got the coconut mushroom soup, hummus plate and pickled veg. It was all very good. We came during the mid day menu. I’d come here again but also wish they would add something to the menu for vegans that was more substantial like a hearty sandwich or pasta dish possibly using Gardein products. Even a Beyond Burger would be cool. The portions were small but good for a light bite.

The food was spectacular! My husband and I, both vegan, tried the portobello sandwich and Robin’s Chow (wok flashed pasta). They modified the portobello sandwich and have a very clear menu that tells you what is vegan, gluten free or vegan-option. In April, they’re going to offer a special Vegan spring menu and it looked amazing!

I know, everyone has their opinion and preferences. Robin's is a wonderful restaurant with beautiful grounds. The vegan options are what makes this our favorite stop while in Cambria. Great salads!

Offers both vegan and animal flesh. Also some gluten free. They are very accommodating and want to make it work for you. It's obvious the vegan customer isn't an oddity here.
Read moreI had the vegan panang curry which was excellent and wouldn't hesitate to get again. My daughter had a vegan dish but now I don't remember which she had. It was a toss up for me between the 2 dishes when deciding which to order. I did like my dish better but would get the one she had at another time.
The ambiance was very nice, service very good, overall a very good experience. Highly recommend Robin's to the vegan eater. Your flesh eating friend won't be disappointed here either.

This restaurant is a nice little gem with clearly marked menus letting you know what items are either vegan or that have a vegan option. Great food. My chile relleno was delicious (quinoa base filling with ras hanout and a great mole sauce). The only alteration was leaving the tequila-lime crema off the dish which I didn't miss at all.

I went for the Vegelicious Sundae with soy ice cream, fresh strawberry sauce and a FANTASTIC soy chocolate ganache that my friendly waitress had no problem making sure I had extra of per my request. She was very vegan-centric and really helpful with suggestions. A nice touch to make it a great dining experience.
My non-vegan friends all enjoyed their dishes (which were not vegan) so all in all I'd say everyone in your group would find something they like here. As I state in all my reviews... more vegans should dine here so as to encourage them expanding their vegan offerings.
