Well, vegan and veggie options do exist here, but they aren't abundant.
It's previous owner had a satirical cartoon on the wall "lampooning" craic-less vegetarians wanting to eat a meal in silence, since buy over his main legacy now is the huge notice over the men's toilet about not p*ssing on the seat. All his other many many MANY "zany" signs have been removed. Eccentric fella. But the decor is cute and country old timey pub.
Have eaten here a few times over the years, the veggie options can occasionally be brilliant, or a bit MOR. They were the latter today. Not inspiring and not exceptionally well cooked either, but they were very busy and speed of service seemed to be the priority.
Dont get me wrong, it was a long way off bad, more low average, but at least I can confirm if a group you are part of wants to eat here, you should be able to get something. And who knows they may get the menu back to what it once was and they do seasonal updates too.
Environs nice and quaint, decent drinks menu.
An acceptable pub lunch.
