Read moreThe food is more snack-like than full meals but everything I had was tasty.
Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

The secretly vegan place - Edit
When you go in, you may notice nothing says “vegan” or plant based. That’s because the owner wants to attract non vegans to try the food, which many find taste so good and “like the real thing” or better. It’s his form of activism.
Read moreThe owner himself is not vegan, but slowly transitioning. Having many vegan friends, he found going out together was a challenge as there were not a lot of options available, so he started making v cookies for them. They encouraged him to share that with others, so he started selling them on a bike and eventually opened up this place! True allyship. They opened just 3 months before the pandemic and are thankfully still running!
Everything is made in house and the breads are made by his mom. The kitten is also a rescue, born with a crooked tail and mostly blind in one eye, so abandoned by its mother. Do feel free to ask about anything- he has lots of stories, including his inspiration for opening the cafe. Major Spoiler: it involves a brunch at NYC with a tofu scramble which blew his mind, not knowing it was a vegan place. 🤭
Well the menu is small and the breakfast special is you buy a drink and get a little toast for free (choose any of the 3 flavors); so don’t expect a large breakfast here. But drinks can be made upon request such as my hot chocolate. I loved the vibe here and his energy and enthusiasm. It’s also great to see a vegan place that isn’t here just trying to profit from the movement.
Come on in and support the only vegan cafe currently open on this side of the river.
Pros: Great service and very friendly owner, Cute kitten, Local, Taiwanese specialty toast made vegan!
