Pizza dough and pretzels aren't vegan

So, I messed up and ordered a pizza w veggies and vegan cheese, not stopping to first check with the establishment if the dough was vegan. Had read reviews of this place about the vegan cheese and pizza and so my husband and I went and ordered a vegan chili to split and a pizza with vegan cheese and veggies. It was very tasty.

The next weekend we were going to go again and this time I stopped to think about it and realized I'd never confirmed about the dough. I emailed the business asking if the pizza dough and pretzel dough were vegan. The chef themself replied and said "Unfortunately, neither is vegan." Yes, they have vegan cheese and vegan chili but no vegan pizza. The vegan chili was very very good and I'm not usually a big chili buff.

Tbh, we should always ask if something is vegan to be sure, but I do kind of find it odd that people are ordering a pizza specifically with "vegan cheese," and not then being told that the dough though isn't vegan.

I've updated Happy Cow regarding the nonvegan dough. Place has outdoor seating and would be worth going to for chili and drinks. I did not ask if the nacho tortillas were vegan as we didn't have them, but if they are, they were huge and could make for a nice pub meal with the vegan cheese and veggies and guacamole.

Pros: Chili, Outdoor seating

Cons: Don't openly disclose that dough isn't vegan, No vegan dough for the pizza

Can add vegan cheese

I ordered the nachos and asked the server to make them vegan. She was very accommodating. A small is a huge portion. They also had pizza that you could make vegan with vegan cheese.

Pros: Can add vegan cheese, Nachos and pizza, Beer and seltzer

Cons: Not a lot of vegan items on menu

You can sub vegan cheese on anything they offer (pizza, grilled cheese, nachos, ect) food taste amazing and great beer options as well as alcoholic seltzer on tap!

Good pizza!

I got an orange mango seltzer (not a huge beer person) and a veggie lovers pizza (subbed vegan cheese). Wasn’t the best vegan pizza I’ve ever had, but for the type of place this is I thought they knocked it out of the park!
