Delicious - Edit
Can't recommend enough. We stopped on our way to Toronto and ate so much. Food was delicious and we were so well treated. With much care and attention. Garlic maple seitan wings 10 out of 10. Nashville style seitan sandwich was so good. Crispy and spicy.

Lovely place to eat - Edit
Came here with family and we all ended up having the beetroot burger. It was delicious and moist but I would have personally liked more dairy-free blue cheese flavour coming through to complement the sweetness of the beetroot. Bread was a good but would have preferred an option which wasn’t white. Nice to have the option of skin on wedges or salad leaves plus an ability to upgrade to an even better side.
Read moreThere were three options of bottled kombucha so we took one of each. It was great that these were sourced from Canada however there was quite a bit of sugar and flavouring in this branch which overpowered the base taste of kombucha.
Would have gone for the wings if these came with a bit of salad or some spring onions.

Great food! - Edit
Come here for lunch and got the crispy seitan wrap and the killer crunch wrap, with side root abs feta salad. Both wraps were delicious, good size and very filling. Great flavour and nice drilled outside. Most impressed with the feta that was on the salad! It was amazing, I’m going to need the recipe! Forgot to take photos but overall love the lunch experience.

A must go if in Niagara area - Edit
Halfway between gourmet and comfort food- this all vegan restaurant is fantastic. I have taken non-vegan friends and colleagues here and the verdict is unanimously positive. This is by far the best vegan restaurant in the Niagara area.

Fantastic - Edit
We started with a large order of seitan wings, half with Buffalo sauce and half with Sriracha lime sauce. The Sriracha lime sauce was our favorite. We ordered the seitan wrap and the Killer Crunchwrap for entrees. We upgraded to mac cheese and loaded potato wedges for the sides for $3 extra. Portions were huge. We got a chocolate raspberry square and a Snickers square dessert to go. We were so full. The lemon aioli sauce that comes the wings is incredible and you can buy it in a container to go. If we weren’t traveling, I would have.

If the wings are the same as the ones in their Hamilton location, that's awesome! They're the bomb!

Wonderful place to grab a bite! - Edit
After a nice bike ride in Niagara-on-the-lake, we stopped at Rise Above for lunch and it was amazing. We started with delicious Coconut Mojitos and they were cool and refreshing. We both had the eggplant “BLT” and it was grilled to perfection on their homemade sour dough bread. We upgraded our potatoes to Wedges Supreme and were thrilled with our decision - creamy, yummy potatoes with silky cheese sauce and sour cream. We were getting full by this time, but I couldn’t pass up trying the cheesecake and we decided to split it. It was a delicious vanilla cheesecake with a crust that had really rich caramelized flavor and it was topped with a tasty strawberry jam. We also went home with Shnicker’s Squares for later…because who knows when we will have a chance to come back. I would be here all the time if I lived closer! The owner served us and she was knowledgeable, helpful and super friendly. We loved everything.

Amazing Takeout - Edit
We ordered a ton of options from their menu to split among our group, including the Philly cheesesteak, kale salad, ginger noodle bowl, souvlaki bowl, and a handful of desserts. It was all delicious, especially the stuffed mushrooms. We were just passing through town so it was an excellent and unexpected find!

Amazing vegan wings - Edit
This place, about a 20 minute drive from Niagara Falls, is an amazing place to eat at after a full day of exploring the Falls. You have to order the wings, with maple syrup and garlic sauce. Probably the best starter I’ve ever had. The rest of the menu was incredible and we were really stuck on what to order. I had the Philly Cheese Steak and poutine and my wife had the sesame ginger noodle bowl with beautiful tofu. You also have to try the espresso milkshake! Would 100% recommend this place!

Rise Above used to be the best but it has gone downhill over the years. You just never know what you’re gonna get, its hit or miss in a lot of aspects. My favourite dishes are the Killer Crunch Wrap, Crispy Seitan Wrap (with added bbq sauce), Pizza Rolls, BBQ or Honey Garlic Seitan Wings and Peanut Butter balls for dessert. Unfortunately their menu is very small at the moment. Hopefully it gets extended again in the future.

18 minute drive from Niagara Falls and well worth the drive! - Edit
Took hubby to Niagara Falls for his birthday present and although he's a carnivore and could eat anything anywhere, I could not being that I'm not only vegan but also Celiac. Only there over night but crazy sick from cross contamination. Desperate to find food that wouldn't kill me, we drove here on our way back to meet friends in Toronto. Slightly out of the way, we arrived 1/2 hr early and walked and waited. It was definitely worth it! Our hostess, Kimberly, went over and above to make sure I didn't have a bad experience! Delicious from the first bite of the spicy carrot ginger soup, the potato wedges fried in the gf fryer, the Mac and cheese with the crispy broccoli and then the sesame ginger rice noodle bowl 💚💚💚 it all had this belly very appreciative of everything! Although stuffed, we still had the peppermint cheese cake for dessert.

Don’t Miss! - Edit
Have eaten here several times and am always happy and satisfied. Have had pizza, stuffed mushrooms (so good!), Mac & cheese, sandwiches, seitan wings (also incredible), salads, killer crunch wrap, cheesecake. Everything has been magnificent. The only downside is that it’s quite a small place and usually very crowded/small tables. I wish it were a little more comfortable.

A little disappointed - Edit
I got three items. Figured it would be too much food for one but was looking forward to leftovers for $34
Read moreThere were no leftovers😒sadly.
Lg cheddar Mac and cheese: noodles were cooked nicely and the sauce had a great texture but was bland and no cheddar flavor. The crumb topping was incinerated and only realizing now looking back at the menu that it was broccoli. I assumed bread crumbs. Curious to see what the small order comes in.
Lg seitan wings with classic bbq sauce. The sauce was a nice mix of Smokey sweet with a bit of heat. The wing itself ... 70% was very wet and spongy, 20% of them had a nice density and 10% were almost hard like they were cooked an extra turn. What’s up with 4 sticks? Why bother.
Nanimo bar. Definitely the star of the show at at $3, a solid deal. I should have just got 10 of these.
Pros: Lots of options.
Cons: Expensive , Poor execution
