Some vegan options, which are very uncommon in this town - Edit
Had a vegan burrito, was good but only served during lunch hours. For supper they only could serve soft tacos vegan

Vegan friendly - Edit
Talked with the owner Hector and he has a few vegan customers. The best situation is if you call for reservations and let him know you would like a vegan dish. Otherwise, from the menu there are veggie tacos or as in my case ask what he has available and he made a special cactus, chili and rice dish that had a lot of good flavors

Not Accommodating - Edit
Rio Alto is very unaccommodating for vegetarians. The only veg item on their menu other than a salad is chili rellenos. When I asked the owner if I could have something else like a veggie enchilada or even a veggie taco they told me they would not do that. So I ordered the rellenos, they were bland, cost $18 and I waited over an hour for them! Will not be back!!
