Good food! - Edit

Update March 2016: The address is now Carrera 14 9-44 (just 2-3 blocks north of Parque Sucre). The restaurant is actually housed in the owner's home. The door is at street level, and you need to ring the doorbell to be let in, and go upstairs. About 10 tables with lots of diners at lunch time. They will also deliver for free in the immediate area. Meal of the day now only 7.700 pesos for the vegetarian meal, and 7.000 for a meal with fish or chicken. Food still good as of 2016. This is not haute cuisine, but a good choice for vegetarians on a budget.

On the day I ate here in December 2011, the set meal of the day included: soy milk, blackberry juice, salad, banana cake, and a plate with beets, brown rice, sauteed gluten, and a thick stew of lentils, potatoes and carrots. The food was very good. Less than half the customers were eating the meat meals. Yes, this is a place that also serves meat, but there's not a whole lot of choices in this small town. A good option if traveling with someone who's not a vegetarian. From what I could see, the meat meal was very different from the veggie meal, and the girl who works there said they use different utensils to cook the two types of meals. It's been open (in different locations) since 1980.
