Does what it says on the tin - Edit
Clean, cheap, ‘dirty’ vegan fast food. I had a zero beef quarter pounder meal. Everything cooked fresh. Very tasty. Only criticism is burger was very wet, possible too much sauce, so was messy to eat and fell apart. Would definitely recommend if you have a Western food craving.

Nothing healthy, hit & miss, but it’s vegan - Edit
Rightside is a proud exemplar of the iffy trend of selling junk food made from highly processed plants instead of animals, which is a welcome step up ethically, though it’s still dubious health-wise. There’s scarcely a whole vegetable in the house: apparently just the one leaf of lettuce that comes with the burgers. (There are also “skin-on” fries, if one thinks those count.) But it’s open later than the other veg places in the area so we gave it a try.
Read moreAs for flavor and texture, it’s really hit-and-miss. The rendang is pretty good. The Chico burger and its nugget cousins are better than average. The tacos, on the other hand, are too precise an imitation of what might be the world’s very worst approximation of a taco (Taco Bell), with a mess of processed meat and cheese substitutes in a thin and fragile taco shell. We also found the milkshake to be so unappealingly weird that we couldn’t make ourselves finish it.
Ecologically, the place is a bit of a disaster, since even dine-in orders are served with single-use “disposable” stuff. The greenest way to eat here is to order a burger or wrap for takeout and ask them not to put it in a bag.
Our respectful suggestions to the owners:
1. Add some salads and other unprocessed whole veggies to the menu, and offer combo plates with salads.
2. Eliminate all single-use plastic, and use only paper-based takeout packaging.
3. Add fresh juices or fresh coconuts so there’s a healthy option for drinks.

Full-on greenwashers, owners do not care. This is a business venture to exploit vegans for cash and nothing more. If you're looking for decent food and still in KL, I recommend February 18th. Otherwise this is not a great city for vegan dining at all.

The Dharma Center is oily and not quite so healthy either but if you get in at 11am food might be still warm and they do a free meal service for the community so it's nice to support them.

Fabulous fast food plant style 🌱 - Edit
With vegan fast food places popping up everywhere now, this was our first visit to Rightside while in Kuala Lumpur. Every option you’d expect in an American fast food restaurant but vegan. I had the plant based Philly Cheesesteak which was very tasty. Gem had the Super Wrap. On most items you can choose 3 plant based meat options, lamb, chicken or beef. Nice place to grab a quick lunch.

If into fast fast food - that's your place - Edit
The fries are excellent, this food was just never for me soggy sandwiches with a lot of sauce. Have some friends who live it: go for it! It's good, made me sick though cause I am not used to it will come back for the sugar free ice cream and fries.

Amazing! - Edit
We really got out of our way to go there but it was absolutely worth it. Some of the best vegan burgers I've had so far.
Read moreWe tried the double smash with the "zerolamb", the quarter pounder with the "zerobeef" and the tacos with the "zerochicken". All of them and the fries were excellent but the zerobeef was my favourite (and it didn't taste like beyond meat at all, which is a plus for me). The coconut soft-serve was also great. However, the cola tasted a little strange but nothing terrible.
By the way, the location is a little difficult to find ; it's on the top floor of the mall.
Pros: Great vegan food, Nice vibe, Not beyond meat burgers!

Absolutely AMAZING vegan food. Such a lovely place, such incredible tasty food (highly recommend the double smash burger and the peanut shake), and the most amazing vibes. The owners and staff are so lovely and kind. I highly highly recommend this place! As someone who’s been vegan for 7 years this is some of the best vegan fast-food I’ve had. 💚

I’ve been here twice now, the food is really tasty, the staff are friendly and I love that they manufacture everything themselves! My favourite so far would be the sexy curry burger with lamb and the tater tots are also a must!
