2 weeks ago tofu taken off the menu

I was so excited to try here after having read that people enjoyed their meals here and that vegan options were clearly marked. Most of the vegan options had smoked tofu, but the waiter informed us that since 2 weeks previously, Croatians were told that tofu was unhealthy so it had been removed from the menu! So the vegan options that were clearly marked, many weren’t available. I went for the wild herb risotto. It was pretty bland so I added heaps of salt and pepper.

Finally - somewhere that labels vegan dishes!

Really enjoyed the tofu pasta and the views. It was so refreshing to find somewhere that labels veggie and vegan options and the food was tasty.

Pros: Great location

Best option but just okay

Riblji is the best option for vegans in Komiža. Everything was clearly marked as vegan or vegetarian. I got the risotto but I’d recommend getting one of the other options instead. The risotto was quite oily, but the tofu pasta that my friend chose was lovely.

ok option

We had the pasta (very good) and the salad (a lot of vinegar there) with tofu. Tofu was a bit on the weirder side, but all in all okay - we didn't find anything else in Komiža except one cheeseless pizza, so. The waiter didn't seem to know about vegan stuff, but it's clearly labeled on the menu.

Pros: vegan options labeled

Cons: staff doesn't seem to know about vegan options..., too few options, expensive

Pleasant surprise!

My friend and I were perusing the menu here hoping they might have the standard vegan-friendly sides that we often had to make a meal out of at most Croatian restaurants, and were completely shocked to find it labeled with several vegan and vegetarian options! Don't let the "fish restaurant" name fool you, this was one of the best meals of our 3 week trip!

Pros: Trilingual menu with clear labeling

Cons: Risotto was a little salty, but still delicious
