Friendly service

Although none of their famous pastries are vegan, the staff were more than happy to help me understand which of their products are and took the time to introduce the beautiful designs on their packaging for each one, as well. I love how they showcase both local ingredients, artwork, culture, and wildlife. The vegan items they offer include their teas, cashew cubes, almond cubes, pumpkin seed cubes, No. 9 peanut crunch, black sesame peanut brittle, candied ginger, Taiwan native ginger candy, and walnut and red date paste cake, all of which are packaged like CDs. The walnut and red date paste cake also is available in a book-sized package. I really liked the cover on the No. 9 peanut crunch since it features a vintage-style map of Taiwan. Perfect for gifts that you can only get on this island nation!
