Wonderful outdoor casual vegan food - Edit
This place was great! This was our first and last food stop in Athens. Friendly staff, loved the pita bread, and food was delicious. We had the white sangria, too, which was a bit too sweet but still lovely.

This small vegan place offers some great lunch options. I had a very nice souvlaki made on oystermushrooms and also a beansallad. I also tried a juice which got served to me with a pasta-straw!

Lovely little place in the city centre with extremely friendly staff. Did not expect to find an entirely vegan place in this area. Everything we tried was delicious (especially the burgers!). Highly recommended!

I’ve been looking forward to having a Gyro after seeing friends munching down their own ones here in Greece. Now I’ve had the new and improved vegan version with Oyster Mushrooms!! Bloody brilliant!
Read moreThe whole shop is well thought out with filter water, not bottled, wooden cutlery and compostable take away boxes. The owner is friendly and enthusiastic and makes everything right there in front of you.
I had to try the Greek vegan feta too and was amazed, as were my friends. Great tasting and their Greek salads are fresh and half the price of the other stores.

Wir haben noch nie so gut und preiswert auswärts vegan gegessen, wie bei Alexander. Normalerweise gehört es als Tourist ja dazu, auch die nationalen Gerichte auszuprobieren und die regionale Küche kennenzulernen. In Griechenland als Veganer*in ist das eigentlich unmöglich (Gyros, Tzatziki,...) - nicht aber, wenn man zu VeganBeat essen geht :) Der griechische Salat, der Champignon-Burger und der Erdbeer-Cheesecake waren so unglaublich lecker, dass wir noch Nächte davon träumen werden 😉 unbedingt ausprobieren! Beim nächsten Mal probieren wir das Gyros!

We were delighted to see the sign for this vegan restaurant while exploring Athens (the Monastiraki area). The people at Vegan Beat were very friendly. Everyone in my family really enjoyed their food: a "chicken" quesadilla, club sandwich, veggie burger, and gyro. Great options.

My family and I have tried most things on the current menu during our stay in Athens, and everything is delicious! Particularly recommend the quinoa salad & the cheesecake. Really lovely staff who were keen to help, and the cafe itself has a great vibe. Gutted I don't live in Athens so I can't go all the time!

Absolutely scrumptious tomato quinoa and herby-peppery bean salads, mushroom gyro and veggie burger with an exotically dressed salad, sugar-free nutty carrot and date cake and a Greek lotus cheesecake to die for. We were also offered free filtered water, with a view to reduce use of plastic. All for €20, served attentively and with a smile by committed and respectful vegans with a lovely personality.

Visited here for lunch today and blown away by how tasty and fresh everything was. I had the mushroom gyros and my partner had the Greek salad. The food was delicious (especially the vegan feta in the salad, so creamy) and really reasonably priced. The owner was lovely too.

Went here on the first day of my trip to Athens, after seeing it on here, and was not disappointed! A great variety of entirely vegan dishes and served by such a friendly woman. The juices/smoothies are a must (recommend spirulina raspberry and banana) and everything is made fresh. We were even given some free sugar-free carrot cake!

Great vegan cafe with plenty of lunch options. Salads, veggie burgers, sandwiches, gyro and juices. Left full and happy! Delicious traditional vegan Greek salad (with vegan feta) and red bean mushroom veggie burger. A nice spot to get away from the crowd of the flea market and enjoy some quality clean food.
