No vegan pizza or all day vegan breakfast - Edit
I had the mezze which was quite filling and my wife had the butter bean stew which she enjoyed. We followed with a slice of the lemon and raspberry cake. All good food.

Very good selection of ve options in the cafe, deli and shop. The buffet lunch I had was all ve bar one option. The staff are really nice and helpful. Rheged is a good place to visit. Always something on & a cinema there too.

Excellent place, but waited 45 mins for cold food. Mushroom ‘shawarma’ was mushrooms on a pitta bread with a side of rocket. The mushies were tasty, but not that special.

Not just a filling station, an arts centre - Edit
Worth the trip to the arts centre behind the filling station to find two cafes, one for take out and one sit in. A few decent vegan options, salad, sandwich, and always a vegan option on the daytime and evening menu. Vegan coffee and cakes too.

Drippy, uninterested staff and barely any veggie options. When I asked about choices, they said I could have toast! All felt a bit melancholy and dour.

Rheged is a gallery, cinema, shopping venue, workplace and creative space on the edge of the Northern Lakes. It comes with an onsite café and a separate deli offering takeaway options.
Read moreWe visited the café en route from Yorkshire to Scotland. It offers a couple of vegan mains and a number of vegan side dishes. Vegetarians have a bit more choice.
We shared a tasty vegan pizza and a vegan potato salad. Very nice it was too! Worth a visit if your in the area.

The vegan breakfast here is amazing and available all day! Huge portion, homemade baked beans and delicious potato hash along with the other staples of a full English.
