Trendy Coffee House with Labelled Vegan Options!

Reubens Coffee House is located amongst the student halls and Bangor University's Main Arts building, making it a very popular spot amongst students and university staff. This is the second site for the local business to open, with their first eatery being situated in Holyhead (Reubens Cafe and Coffee), and that location is already listed on HappyCow as they also offer vegan options.

I visited half an hour before closing time on a Sunday, and Reubens Coffee House was packed with a queue forming behind me as I was ordering. The bagels counter was empty, and there were only a few sweet baked treats left, a sign of how in demand this little coffee house is. All the vegan options are labelled, with the baked treats sporting a 'Plant Based' symbol, and the bagels have a 'VE' label. In addition to the plant milk available for beverages, some of the vegan options at Reubens Coffee House include:
- Hummus and Beetroot Bagel
- Falafel and Hummus Bagel
- Double Chocolate Cookie
- Sticky Lemon Drizzle Bun
- Almond Croissant
- Hazelnut Pain Au Chocolat
- Cinnamon Classic

I had an Iced Coffee with Oat Milk and a Hazelnut Pain Au Chocolat. The coffee was fabulous, and the pain au chocolat was very rich and indulgent, but it was a touch greasy, perhaps from being sat out in the display all day. Nonetheless, I did enjoy it and would return again as I'd really like to try one of their Falafel and Hummus Bagels. Highly recommended for vegans who are into their indie coffee houses!

Pros: Vegan Options Labelled, Good Coffee, Multiple Vegan Options

Cons: Can Get Very Busy, 50p Charge For Plant Milks
