Mid Vegan Options

They had some vegan options.

The curry was a bit too heavy for us, and it was served in a scraped pan, which bothered us since it can be unhealthy and lead to exposure to heavy metals.
The second dish was nice but was mostly based on substitutes meat.

If you're really hungry, it's a decent place, but I wouldn't choose to go there often.

Pros: sitting next to the water it wonderfull experience, Nice waiters

Authentic and delicious

Really enjoyed Bar Taraca on my trip through. Just one outskirts of the old town, away from the tourist traps, full of locals, which is the green light it’s pretty good.

Loads of vegan choices. I had a stuffed courgette type start, and a gorgeous curry for main. Smoothies, juices also great.

Small portions, amazing Cevapcici!

Small but busy place, I recommend making a reservation when you wanna sit outside. You sit outside the walls next to the moat, very charming.
They offer clearly labeled vegan dishes. We had the Taraca (named after the place or the other way around I guess) as a starter which were already amazingly delicious. Followed by vegan meatballs (really good) and vegan Cevapcici. The Cevapcici really blew my mind, they were incredible! 😍
The only two downers were that the portions were quite small (so at least order a starter if you're hungry) and that my friend ordered the 'gyros with mushrooms' in vegan (it's labeled vegetarian) and just got a wrap with vegetables without the gyros. The waiter didn't tell him that when he ordered, that was kind of sad.

Nice place away from the busy streets

This restaurant had outdoor and indoor seating and was located along the river. Our seats had a fantastic view of the mountain, and we got to enjoy watching mountain goats while we ate. Vegan, vegetarian, GF, and nuts were clearly marked on the menu. Our party is both GF and vegan, so we ordered the two options that included both of these dietary issues: vegan cevapcici and vegan meatballs. They were both very good.

Not bad

It’s great that they have a various vegan options but not all of the food is good.
We tried the zucchini rolls (not so good), the vegan meatballs with rice noodles and tomatoes (literally spaghetti with meatballs) and a vegan burger (worth to try)
Also the dessert is really nice!

Cons: It took long time for the food to arrive

Good vegan options

Multiple labelled vegan options on the menu! I had the vegan cevapi as it's a vegan version of something local. This was tasty and came with a nice paprikary sauce and some veggies which were delicious and salty.

My boyfriend tried the falafel main and this came with lots of fresh and pickled veg, hummus, tzatziki, and of course falafels. Also really tasty. The falafels were really good in particular, some of the best I've tried!!

An easy restaurant to visit as vegan food is labeled, which is rare for the area

Pros: Nice vegan options available , Vegan versions of local food

Vegan Options

Came across this on happy cow and glad we ate here. The restaurant has a specific vegan/vegetarian menu which has some nice options.

The sweet potato and coconut soup is amazing.

Decent options

A few decent options, probably the best you’re going to get in Kotor. Burger is good, tofu scramble is a bit bland and service can be slow but friendly.

Good options

At least 4 vegan options and other vegetarian options that could be made vegan. Nice restaurant and friendly staff. I was happy to find this place, making a change from pomodoro pasta and asking for pizza with no cheese!

The only good option in Kotor

This seemed to be the only place in Kotor to serve vegan food with proper nutrition (protein & fresh veggies). All the other places mostly offer only pasta, pizza and rizotto, which are lacking some nutrients IMO.

Best place in Kotor to eat vegan

When we found this place we were happy about the several vegan options on the menu and a staff that obviously understood what vegan means. The food was tasty. We came back the next day as it was by far the easiest and most reliable place to get vegan food in Kotor.

Pros: Several vegan options, Tasty food, Nice location (book table on terrace!)

Cons: Smoking allowed

Hidden gem

Great selection of fresh juices, good options for vegan and vegetarian. I chose their Taraca rolls to start, which were like coleslaw wrapped in courgette topped with some grated cheese. Falafel to follow which was delicious. My friends ate Veg lasagnes and the mushroom gyros (veg not vegan) - both non vegans/veg and they were very happy.

Setting down by the river edge was relaxing and paired back brick/plants all around had a good vibe about it. Only improvement would be to have more veg meals that could convert to vegan easily to broaden the offering.

My favorite place in Kotor

Been visiting many times this place when in Kotor. Loved the ambiance, service was friendly.
Enjoyed juices and smoothies together with buckwheat pie at breakfast.
Had few different meals, my favorite was the falafel bowl.

Excellent food

I was in Kotor for 2 weeks and ate at this restaurant several times.
The food is amazing and so is the staff.
The Buddha's bowl and the burger are soo good. The vegan Vietnamese rolls are the only thing from all vegan options I didn't enjoy.

We loved the food!

We were pleasantly surprised by how delicious every vegan dish we tried was—both dining in and ordering takeaway. The mushrooms, French fries, traditional Macedonian dish, and vegan "meatballs" were all absolutely amazing and full of flavor. The atmosphere is lovely, with thoughtful and beautiful design, and the waitress was kind and attentive. The prices were a bit high and serving two plates to share dishes would have been nice. Overall, its a good restaurant!

Pros: Food, Design

Cons: Price

4 vegan options in a town of not many

This was 5 mins from our Airbnb and we were pleased to see it had 4 vegan main options. We went for the falafel and the teriyaki, both very flavoursome, and a side of spicy wedges. Lovely location by the water, Friendly waiter, just a couple of hiccups with the language barrier, and service slow as stated previously by others but we're on holiday so it was relaxing not to be rushed and chill out with a drink in the evening in a pretty location.

Pros: Vegan options, Friendly staff, Pretty location

Cons: Can be slow service for some, There is smokers about

Great atmosphere for dinner

Situated along the water at about 7:00 PM (when we were there, September) they open the glass roof and lower the walls and it’s just really nice and inviting. The menu selection was good for vegetarians, I liked the portion size, and everything was very tasty. Staff was also friendly.

One thing I was not into was some folks smoking inside before they really lower the glass walls and open the rooftop. But it seems everyone smokes in this area.
