This place serves a set daily lunch, plus one or 2 slices of pizza/cakes/muffins/drinks that you can order extra.

Healthy and delicious - Edit
I stumbled upon Girasoles because of their visible menu written at the door. The restaurant is has little seating but very welcoming and homey and is attached to a store with vitamins, vegan groceries and herbs. Serve specialties of the day (usually traditional Colombian dishes with veggie spins) upon availability but also have burgers or sandwich option. Make sure you leave room for some of their vegan desserts!

Great inexpensive options - Edit
Little restaurant inside a health food store/ bakery. No options. Only 1 Set menu / day. Lunch came with soup, ice tea, beans , rice collard greens and salad . 13 000 pesos. Food was good but pretty basic. Good for price. Baked goods were nice too and marked as vegan where applicable. Vegan empanadas were great @ $3500 each.

Wonderful cheap place - Edit
This cafe is in the old town, great location. Ladies working there are always so lovely. Breakfast/lunch/dinner menu of the day is always filling, yum, homely and so cheap. In fact this is the cheapest place to eat in Cartagena for veg food. I cannot recommend it enough.

Barato y delicioso - Edit
Totalmente recomendable!

Quite good relatively cheap meal - Edit
We had the menu of the day (18.000 COP) for dinner which consisted of rice (not just plain white rice though), a salad with a delicious sauce and avocado and some seitan as the protein source. It also included a juice which was very tasty and not watery as some other places. Their vegan brownies are pretty good as well, though they could spice them even more up by adding the possibility of supplementing it with some ice cream on top.
Read morePros: Most of their food and desserts are vegan, Relatively cheap compared to what you get
Cons: Quite basic, not the place if you don’t want rice

Tasty lunch menu - Edit
Casual restaurant. Lunch was delicious. There is a fixed lunch menu. On the day we visited, we got to sample soup, plus a mix plate with rice, veggies, tofu, falafel, and panela sweet drink. Very inexpensive. Vegan empanadas and brownies for dessert (add on options) sealed their deal.

Great value local vegan food - Edit
Loved it here as often you can feel you are missing out on local dishes as a vegan.
Read moreWe stumbled across this place and later realised it had great reviews! We got the menu del dia (menu of the day) explaining we were vegan in case anything needed to be modified (it’s also a vegetarian restaurant).
Great value with a bowl of soup, full bowl of soup and juice. The price increases for the evening menu.
Can also get coffee, amazing juices and vegan treats like empanadas, brownies and cakes.
Lots of locals eating here which is always a great sign!

Homey, inexpensive, and vegan pastries too! - Edit
They brought us a daily lunch of soup that sent me straight to my grandma’s house, and lunch of beans, rice, salad, and juice. The meal warmed my heart. They also sent us home with the most satisfyingly moist vegan chocolate cake.

Wasn't impressed by the empanadas - Edit
I will say that I was disappointed after getting excited to have empanadas while in Colombia.
Read moreThey were available as filled with mushrooms, eggplant, or spinach.
I'm not crazy about any of those, so I choose spinach. It was mediocre.
The desserts were pretty dry.
I'm sure the lunch time 'plate of the day' is good, according to other reviews, but dinner wasn't that great.
Pros: No meat
Cons: Empanadas were disappointing, Desserts are dry

Best vegan options in Cartagena! - Edit
We kept coming back because they had great breakfast and lunch menus!
Read moreBreakfast consisted of tofu/onions/tomato, toats, fruit and a drink! (Under $4) and then lunch changed eveyday, but was a lot of food for around $4-$5. So good!
We kept going back because they knew what was vegan or not, and had a ton of options! Their empanadas and cookies are my favorite.
Pros: So many options, Affordable, Yum!

Nice find in the expensive streets of Cartagena - Edit
Being a gluten free vegan in Cartagena is definitely a challenge. Luckily I stumbled upon girasoles randomly and was happy to find that I could eat here without the worry of getting sick. Food was delicous, staff is so friendly and the prices are actually reasonable. My only con was the at dinner there was only 1 item available which was great a garbanzo bean combo paired with a delicous fresh fruit juice. It was very fulfilling and 18.000 COP all together. Would have liked more options though. Would come back for lunch

How to survive in Cartagena - step 1 - Edit
Do you know the saying: beggars can't be choosers? In Polish it sounds a little bit better, cause it translates to: when there's a lack of fish, even crayfish is a fish. Okay, this joke isn't appropriate on a vegan site! But let's go to our topic which is Girasoles. Cartagena is definitely not a mecca for vegans (although many places inform you that it can cook vegetarian dishes on request). That's why Girasoles, being near tourist spots in the city, is oftenly visited by many even if not favorite. Most of the options that are available on the card are vegan, the rest is vegetarian. The service is not particularly nice, but it does not hurt either. Breakfasts like most places are unconvincing (I got three halves of toasts and a bit of diluted tofu with micro scraps of vegetables). Everyday lunches are better. Usually it is a classic combination of rice with a substitute of meat and vegetables. The taste is not particularly exciting, but if you do not go there for a few days in a row, you can survive. The price of the lunch set (with soup and drink) is very good at 12.900 COP.

Cons: Only good as a suriving option

Great vegan food in the heart of the Walled City. - Edit
Small restaurant with a set meal that changes daily. We ate lunch there and they were able to make a couple substitutions to accommodate my wife's soy and gluten allergies. Delicious, unique food, and a great value. My meal came with a cauliflower curry, a 'zucchini relleno' with a soy filling, a small salad, rice, and a juice. For my wife, they substituted out the relleno for a lentil croquette.

Very Nice Restaurant empanadas Are great and also the pizza slices (both vegan). the chocolate cake is amazing and very soft, unfortunately the cakes aren't vegan although I know they are very nice and moist (tried them when i wasn't vegan years ago) they have different flavours (apple peach red fruits banana), I hope one day they make them vegan too. Stuff wasn't that friendly maybe because of the insane amount of people that are there middays (many locals - so must be good Colombian food ;-)).

Food was good but the portion I had a bit small. For the price I wouldn't complain though.

The only but is that even though they had various plant milks they don't offer it with coffee but just for selling...
