Good moqueca - Edit
This is a very popular restaurant in downtown Ubatuba. There is usually a line to get a table but it moves quickly. We were a large group and didn't have to wait for too long. The menu has a vegetarian section, and I ordered the heart of palm moqueca, which is vegan. Their dishes are for 2-3 people, but since I was the only vegan in the group I asked the waiter for an individual portion of the dish. It was still huge, so much food! Lots of rice, a big pot of the moqueca itself and plenty of farofa. Everything was pretty tasty, the moqueca had many chunks of heart of palm but also other veggies. My favorite part was the farofa with bananas, absolutely delicious! The downside was the price, the individual portion is more than half the price of the standard dish, so quite expensive. I believe there are better options for vegans around Ubatuba, but this restaurant is pretty famous, so it is a good choice when with non-vegans. #Veganuary
