Best vegan restaurant in Trinidad - Edit
I had the chickpea salad, mango juice, it was perfect. They cook on charcoal so if there is no electricity you can still get dinner. Large portions, very friendly owner, speaks English, absolutely recommended

Wonderful experience all round - Edit
We highly enjoyed dining at Diverso Trinitario, a great veggie spot in Trinidad. Would highly recommend the veggie albondigas, the stars of the show, along with the garbonzo milanese, and the empanadas were also very tasty. The drinks were another standout, with the daiquiri and canchanchara here being some of our favourite drinks all holiday!

Awesome vegan options - Edit
So grateful for previous Happy Cow reviews that we got to know of this place as it is away from the main town squares. There is a whole vegetarian/ Vegan menu which is great! We went for their fixed menu and were not disappointed. Food was flavorful and well presented. I would recommend this place.

Rare to find a restaurant in cuba with vegan options marked on the menu so was happy to find this! Staff were lovely and understood veganism. Food was okay, a good option for cuba but nothing too exciting. Vegan meatballs were the best option I ate in my two visits.

Delicious homemade vegan food - Edit
One of very few places where I enjoyed my food in Cuba. First night I had the vegan menue with vegetable empanadas (omg sooo good), rice with vegetables, roasted Cuban pumpkin and a muffin for dessert. The second time I had the empanadas again with the vegetable and fruit ceviche and rice with vegetables. My parents enjoyed various dishes with meat as well. The staff was also really sweet.

Lots of vegan options - Edit
We were getting a little tired of rice and beans for lunch and dinner every day, so this restaurant was a breath of fresh air. Upon entering we were greeted with a vegan flag hang on the wall. Coincidentally a 3 minute walk from the guest house we were staying in.

Feb 2024: We really enjoyed the selection and food in this nicely done, friendly restaurant. A pleasure to find. As typical, it had many dishes based on chickpeas and the many local root vegetables, tomatos, etc. The drinks were good too. Highly recommended.

A lot of vegan and vegetarian options. Even had a vegan set menu. Food was really good. Would highly recommend, best restaurant for vegans since coming to Cuba. They also have a vegan muffin, but they do put some honey on top of it, so if you don't eat honey you may want to mention. Excellent food.

This was BY FAR the best food we got in Trinidad, and probably in the whole of Cuba. They cook with spices (which is not so common in Cuba) and mix tastes in interesting ways. And then: an entire veggie menu with loads of vegan options!! including a vegan muffin! On top, the waiters are incredibly nice, the cocktails (especially the piña colada and daiquiri - the mojito less so) are also VERY good and then it's a good price, too. TOTALLY recommend!

In 6 days in Trinidad, we went to Diverso 4 times and every meal was absolutely delicious. Whether salad, tacos, pasta, chickpeas or meat dishes - it was fantastic! Since the selection for a vegetarian in Cuba is usually very small and I ate rice almost every day, this restaurant was an absolute asset to our trip! Thanks also for the great service and hospitality

We spent a nice evening at Restaurante Diverso Trinitario. The owner is very charming and nice and we really liked the interior of the restaurant. And most important: The food was very good!😄We had tacos, banana fries, vegetable dumplings and empanadas as a starter and then had some chickpeas with rice.
