Can't recommend highly enough!!!

I wish I could give it 5* but I'm not permitted as the restaurant isn't fully veggie/vegan. Nidia (chef/owner) is amazing! I can't say enough positive things about her. She's previously worked in a UK Michelin 3-star restaurant and a local Portuguese 5* hotel, and the quality of her food shows it! She's so friendly, knowledgeable about dietary needs, and accommodating! A dietary note was made when I reserved the table, and she made a point of speaking with me to make sure I was happy with the vegan options available. She had even bought in vegan butter so that I could have some with the appetiser bread - not something I was expecting given the restaurant is in a small town known for its meat and fish culture! The food was delicious, best I've had so far in Portugal. Nidia's daughter helps in the restaurant and is super friendly, too. Honestly, the two of them made us feel at home and part of the family! She gave our table of four a free round of shots of local liquer. It contained honey, so she ensured I had something different (vegan) and even joined me with the same shot so that I didn't feel like the odd one out.
