Finally! Vegan Pizza in Aomori! - Edit
Pizza is one of my favorite foods, and although I enjoy making vegan pizza at home from time to time, it is SO nice to be able to eat it in a restaurant.
Read moreThis restaurant is part of the Tsugaru Kanayama-yaki Pottery Village. They grow their own organic vegetables for the pizza and the pizza ovens and dishes are all made on site as well.
If you call or email in advance, they will prepare vegan cheese for you so that you can have vegan pizza! There are many veggie toppings to choose from (and of course some non-vegan ones too, so be careful when choosing. The kimchi, for example, has fish in it) and you can even choose to assemble your own pizza if you would like!
They also offer a salad made with their local organic veggies which you can have with salt and olive oil instead of dressing.
The pizza here is so good! I have been back several times since discovering that they could accommodate vegans. The only problem is they close during the winter season (Nov-Mar) so sadly I will have to wait until next spring to go back again. Just another thing to look forward to, I guess!
