Nice Dominican Plate of the Day & Great Fresh Juices - Edit
This is a nice option if you are in this area. I wouldn't go out of my way to come.
Has some traditional Dominican dishes as well as a few vegetarian specialties. One dish is made with a homemade soy cheeze - not sure if it's fully Vegan though.
Good fresh juices without a lot of sugar added. I had my favorite - passionfruit juice.
Last review mentioned that the salad served was basic. It is. But that's the culture. Salads served with Dominican lunches are basic (lettuce & tomato and sometimes with cabbage or carrots with a light vinegar dressing).
Pros: intimate , nice staff, natural juices without added sugar

Cute inexpensive vegetarian / vegan lunch place - Edit
Cafeteria style ordering. All food is prepped behind glass and the staff will dish out whatever selections you choose. You get your own salad - though the salad selection is very basic: lettuce, and a few veggies all displayed in separate bowls. I found this place as a happy accident. I'm staying a few days at the Courtyard Marriott on Maximo Gomez Av. and I was walking to the grocery store - lo and behold this vegetarian restaurant is on the side street of the supermercado. I had a rice with pinto beans mixed in and added seitan with red peppers. It was yummy.
Pros: Vegan Options, Inexpensive, Pleasant staff
Cons: No Air Conditioning , Cash-Only, Only open for lunch
