Hearty Chłodnik! - Edit
The staff here are really nice and speak Polish and English. The menu is only in Polish, however they are happy to explain anything if you need it!
Read moreThe Chłodnik (beet soup) was incredible, a little peppered/spicy and a fantastic combination of flavours.
I opted for the dish of the day, but unfortunately I think I came on a bay day for this dish. It was lentils with caramelised carrots and pumpkin, at first it sounds like quite an interesting dish, however the red lentils were quite undercooked and hard and the dish in general didn't have a lot of flavour.
That being said, I definitely would like to come back to try something from their standard menu.
The highlight from this visit was definitely the chłodnik, which I would recommend everyone to try!
Pros: great staff
Cons: Poor dish of the day

Cosy restaurant on a cosy street - Edit
Ciasna is a cosy small restaurant with a compact menu. I didn't know what to expect after reading very mixed reviews but the food was good! I am happy to see that vegan places become more and more popular in Poland.

Rozczarowanie - Edit
Wybraliśmy się do Ciasnej skuszeni dobrymi recenzjami, ale niestety wizyta zakończyła się rozczarowaniem. Zamówiliśmy burgera z boczniakiem w panko i placki ziemniaczane z gzikiem. Porcja placków była ogromna, ale niezjadliwa. Sprawiały wrażenie jakby były niedosmażone w środku. Lepiej było z burgerem, który był poprawny. Smakował głównie sałatą, której było nieproporcjonalnie dużo.

I think it was tiny bit overpriced for what I've got, but I can't say it wasn't tasty.

Some of the dishes are worse then others but still delicious and served beautifully. The staff is fine, but could be a bit more attentive. I really like how cosy this place is and how close it is to everything.

Small restaurant - Edit
Podmurna is my favourite street of Torun's old town and I am glad that such a great vegetarian restaurant is located there. I had there - for example - tomato soup with chickpea, quinoa and red onion (awesome), Mexican beans with brown rice (OK), vegatable salad with vegan mayo, socca. The food is always tasty. I visit this place every time when I am in Torun.

100% wegetariańsko - Edit
Przytulna restauracja zlokalizowana na ulicy Podmirnej, kilkadziesiąt metrów od głównego deptaka toruńskiej starówki tzn. ulicy Szerokiej. Schludne i czyste miejsce. Warto odwiedzić, by zjeść jakiś wegetariański standard lub fast fooda w postaci burgera.

Great food. - Edit
The place itself it's really small, they only have few tables. But the food.. Mmm.. Really tasty. I went there for a lunch with my non-vegan girlfriend and she really enjoyed her meal. They have a lot of options. Nice and fresh. I would definitely go back there again.

Unfortunately I would not recommend... - Edit
I gave this place a few tries but every time I leave disappointed and regret not going to Karrotka, which is just round the corner. The food has no taste, portions are small and the dish compositions are not thought through (fe. it can be too dry). Sorry, I will not go back :(

Rather dissapointment - Edit
IT s a nice cozy place Just in the city center. But the food is dissappinting. IT s quite pricy and you get the food which tastes like almost nothing. No spices, no good preparation, just what s in local chain store... even though it looks nice when you read menu. Staff is nice though.

the best of Torun - Edit
Little restaurant with good atmosphere and really nice staff. More than half of the menu is vegan and gluten free. Daily soup and sec meal is also always like that! Different types of food style (Indian, polish also has burger). Really cheap prices and smells okay in the restaurant (that's why I only ate here in Karrotka stinks so much)

I was only a few days in Toruń and i never expected to find a vegan Restaurant without happycow... But i did and I was so happy, because the food was very delicious, cheap and the waitress was extraordinary friendly!
