Weganskie na Ciasna? Jasna!!

A beautiful experience at the hands of a delightful one lady operation. By the time we got there most of the good stuff had already gone but there was still a soup of the day (white bean with pumpkin seeds), a sensational schabowy kotlet and a spicy pierogi dish. These were all lovingly prepared in the kitchen while we waited with a glass of red from next door. The perfectly breaded kotlet was mind bending and served with a typical Polish mash. The kind of dish I dream about. This place is a just a figment of one’s imagination.

Pros: Idyllic setting, Freshly prepared food , Lovely owner

Delightful Dining

This is such a warm and welcoming restaurant. I chose the dish of cutlet with creamy mash and salads and it was truly delicious. The cutlet was exceptional, I think it could easily fool any carnivore with its meat like texture. The restaurant is run by a lovely lady and is set on an idyllic street. A must place to visit.

Pros: 100% vegan, Delicious food, Lovely setting

nice

Food is good, everything is pretty cheap for the ginormous portions. Homemade pickles are great and tasty. They also offer a wide selection of veggies such as pickled parsley root and cauliflower!

Polecam

Pros: Domowo , Uczciwa porcja, dobrej jakości produkty , Przystępna cena

Interesting vegan options in Torun centre

We got the soup and the dish of the day and they were very nice. A simple vegan reinterpretation of dishes which I've never found in any other vegan restaurant in Poland. Strongly recommended!

Pros: Helpful staff, Creative vegan cuisine, Queer-friendly

Food was sad

Very disappointed with two dishes we ordered, both were a miss. Especially the main course, where everything was refried and had too much oil. Wouldn't go back.

Traditional polish food made vegan

For a good price you can taste traditional polish dishes made vegan.
Small place, small menu. Looks like it's run by a family in their own kitchen.
So it's like visiting a Polish family at home.

Pros: Taste of Poland.

Cons: Slightly annoying music

Very yummy, cozy, and dog-friedly

We tried the oyster mushroom burger, and the Seitan. Both were well-seasoned, fresh, and enough of a portion to be nicely full.
Our dog was allowed in, and given water at once. The staff was very attentive and friendly, English was no barrier.
The place itself is not big but prettily decorated and cozy.
No lack of hygiene was observed by us.

Absolute recommendation!

Pros: Super friendly and attentive staff , Delicious, different food, Dog-friendly inside

Best vegan restaurant!

I had lunch at the Ciasna restaurant for three days, one of the best vegan restaurants. Genuine and tasty dishes, also beautiful to look at. If you are in Torun you must go there!!

Ok

Było po prostu ok. Niby smacznie, ale też nie tak, żeby miało mnie jakoś wyjątkowo zachwycić. Trochę dziwnie, że w ramach surówek dają bigos.

The greatest.

There are many good restaurants in Poland. There are even a disproportionately high number of great ones. And I feel confident saying, without reservation, that Ciasna is the best. To see quite why from the outside may be difficult. Certainly it is humble in appearance, even in its picturesque locale. But it holds treasures far beyond its station. Firstly it is built on a strong foundation of herbs, fruits and vegetables largely grown by the very people preparing, pickling, cooking and/or serving them. The path "from farm to table" (as the Yanks like to say) could hardly be more direct. Comprehensible enough, so let's get to the second point. Restauracja Ciasna has a cuisine which is at once deeply rooted in a mastery of traditional Polish cooking, and is also an expression entirely of its own, working completely outside the influence of trends and conventions in the vegan kitchen community. This is the work of people who refined their practice to an art. I will return to Toruń solely to visit this restaurant.

We were split as a family

My vegetarian husband says this is the best vegan restaurant he's been to, he had a "pork belly" type meal and he got super possessive about it, not wanting to share 😂 we also had a garlic pesto and pine nut tagliatelle and an oyster mushroom burger. I've gotta say the meals were lovely, I felt like I was eating myself healthy, however we had three kids with us who found the wholesome flavours abit grownup, and there were no dessert options. Hubby loved his IPA but I picked a rather dud cider. We ordered apple presse for the kids and it honestly tasted like sugar water which they all rejected. Ventilation also seemed abit of an issue, I can imagine in hotter months the place might be very stuffy.
Overall a very nice vegan meal, but the experience probably would have been better without the children in tow

Pros: Fully vegan, Delicious food, Large portions

Cons: No desserts, No kids menu - rich tastes for kids, A few flies buzzing around

Peanuts in the pesto

Idk what to rate this place. We came at night, one hour before closing without a reservation and it was full. We were gently turned away because the chef/owner (?) didn’t have time or space to cook for us, so we decided to come back the next day.

We were so hungry and opted to order a pesto pasta, which specifies it contains pibe nuts, but did not specify other allergens. Two bites in, I’m having anaphylactic shock and the chef and server don’t speak English. The chef asks me if I need an epi pen via translator and I say yes, thinking maybe they have one, but they don’t. She was really apologetic, but we did ask for allergens before hand and they also just said pibe nuts. Definitely a language barrier. Anyway, we end up rushing to the nearest pharmacy.

Later that night, we met her again at the bus station. Guess she lives out of town and commutes daily. She again apologised and asked how I was feeling. They really are so kind and I’m glad this place exists, and yet I did almost lose my life here…

Przytulne miejsce z pysznym jedzeniem
