Great Mid Day Snack

While in Durham, I stopped here mid afternoon when I was in need of a boost and some calories. I got the King Smoothie, which has espresso in it (along with lots of other magical ingredients) and a vegan/gluten free macaroon. Everything was amazing. I scarfed down both the smoothie and the macaroon and immediately wanted another smoothie because it was so delish.

Pros: Great vegan options, Such nice service, Fresh and healthy ingredients

Cons: None!

great atmosphere, lattes, and treats!

Respite staff are very friendly and conscious of what "vegan" means, the lattes are expertly made with almond milk (or select from the extensive tea menu - I like the vanilla chai), and there's always a selection of vegan items. Aside from the cupcakes, I really appreciate that they offer savory tamales from Soul Cocina. I stop by for a light lunch, bring my laptop, and enjoy a tamale along with a latte while I sit by the window and soak in the sun. It is rarely crowded and a great place to hang out or work.

Pros: variety of vegan options, friendly , nice atmosphere

Cons: not fully vegan
