Best seitan I ever had - Edit
In comparison to the other location it’s completely different, here the food is more simple and more comfort food. I had the homemade seitan steak and it was simply amazing, normally I’m a bit hesitant to order seitan because it can be a bit gummy sometimes, I ordered it because the waiter recommended it. Very happy I tried it!

Amazing flavours - Edit
Absolutely delighted by my experience at this vegan restaurant. The standout dish for me was the Satan steak, which was crafted in-house and accompanied by a delectable side of potatoes. The starter was a thoughtful assortment of olives, herbed herness, carrot sticks, and corn flour bread that was simply to die for.The ambiance couldn't have been better, either. We were seated in the back where we could bask in the sunshine and soak in the beautiful atmosphere. This spot is a must-visit for anyone seeking a high-quality vegan dining experience.

We had the gnocchi and stroganoff and were pleasantly surprised by the wide and excellent taste pallet.

Besonderes Restaurant in Porto - Edit

Our favorite meal in Portugal - Edit
Our dinner here was the culinary highlight of my trip to Portugal. We ordered the tasting menu for two. We spent the entire meal studying the dishes, Google-ing the inspirations for these veganized versions, and fighting over the last crumbs on the plates. Great ambiance dining outside and excellent service.

Wat een heerlijke plek om te lunchen of dineren. Een kaart waar je maar moeilijk een keuze uit kunt maken. Alles is lekker!

All was lovely - Edit
We started with the vegan kibe, which we call kube in Israel. I've never had them because they are always minced meat. These were so simple, but so delicious. Husband had the bacalhua-influenced dish, with salty mushrooms as the stand-in for the fish. He really enjoyed it. It was largely a base of shredded potatoes though. I got the lime gnocchi which were just sublime. A little lime flavor, melted cheez, almonds. Fantastic. We got two chocolate pies, one with coconut and one with fresh plum. Both were very tasty but not mind-blowing. The owner is very charming; it's a nice low-key vibe. Great experience, especially since my doggie was allowed in and sat next to me :)

Our best vegan meal ! - Edit
We visited Remedio Santo while staying in Porto and finding it on Happy Cow. We have both been vegan for five years and agreed that this was the best meal we had ever eaten. The owner explained every dish and it was hard to choose as they all sounded so delicious. It was a lovely evening so we dined outside and just had the most wonderful time. From starters to dessert it was all freshly cooked and mouth watering. I can’t recommend this little gem enough !

Amazing food - Edit
We LOVED this restaurant, the food was amazing. It was great to be able to try veganised Portuguese dishes.
Read moreThe service was great, we were shown pictures of the dishes so we’d know what we were ordering. We sat outside in the garden which was simple but very relaxing.
We had the shiitake mushrooms (cooked like clams) and the flavour was great, fresh and with little crunchy bits of onion or garlic, lots of coriander.
And the seitan steak dish with mushroom sauce was so tasty!
For dessert we tried the passion fruit pie, which is more like a set custard type thing, very unusual but very nice.
Although the setting was simple, the food was like fine dining.

Delicious - Edit
My hubby and I shared their lunch for 2. Price was very reasonable. Appetizer, entree and dessert were delicious. Appetizer was Kibes. I got ‘cod fish with potatoes (shiitake a bulhao pato)close to what I remember it tasting like. My hubby had ‘sausage and beans (favinhas a Inglesa) he loved it. For dessert we had peach cheesecake (omg) and apple streusel. Everything was delicious. The host was very nice and explained all the dishes.
