Tasty but not convincing - Edit
I've been in on a couple of lunchtimes when it lacks atmosphere somehow. The decor is a bit odd and it's hard to tell whether it's open or not.
Read moreThe menu showed a couple of vegan options. I had a blini-type pancake with spinach and mushrooms, which was tasty but not earth-moving!
No soya options for coffees, no vegan desserts as far as I could see.
Pros: Vegan options marked on menu, Tasty food
Cons: No vegan coffees or puddings, Atmosphere , Staff

Vegans Can Relax At Cafe Relax - Edit
It's not often one sees an Armenian restaurant, so it was a pleasant surprise to spot this charming cafe tucked away near Marine Court, on the St Leonards seafront, especially so when we noticed that the vegetarian & vegan options were clearly marked on their menu!
Read moreThe cafe is tastefully & beautifully decorated in reds, blacks & golds, showing local Armenian designs on the tablecloths. The staff are especially helpful & also sometimes in traditional dress. Food is freshly prepared from seasonal vegetables & they will do their best to adapt dishes to make them completely vegan.
The Chortikner Armenian Tapas comes with a lovely selection of four hot & cold salads, such as Snkov Achcan (marinated mushrooms) & veg dolma, plus fresh rye bread. The hearty Ajabsandal (a rice & vegetable casserole) is served in an individual traditional clay pot with a light & paper-thin grilled speciality bread. Delicate & fresh flavours make for a tasty & healthy meal.
Vegan desserts are sorbet or fresh fruit. Armenian coffee is strong & thick, sadly no soya milk is available. See their website for the full menu; daily specials are also offered.
A lovely place to dine & highly recommended.
Pros: Vegan Options Marked Clearly, Fresh & Healthy Ingredients, Great Service & Friendly Staff
Cons: No Soya Milk
