Best non-meat burgers in San Sebastian - Edit
Jeremy Corbyn (vegetarian UK politician) will find Rekalde Taberna his spiritual home if he ever goes to San Sebastian! The walls are covered with posters and support for every loony-left cause you can think of. Fortunately, eating there does not have to imply solidarity with their politics, so anyone can take advantage of their socialist scruples about not charging too much for food. That includes vegetarians and vegans, who will find that the veggie-friendly Taberna has the best non-meat burgers in town. Food choices are clearly displayed in Basque, Spanish, English and French and we have found the service to be quick and friendly. But bear in mind that although the bar is open from early in the morning until late at night, the hours when the kitchen is open are more restricted - 11am to 3pm and 7pm to 9:30pm (from memory).

Had 1 pincho that was vegan and another veggie. Menu had vegan burger and veggie options. Pinchos were only €1 at happy hour. We turned up with 10 people and they were very helpful

Chegamos a esta taberna gracias a HappyCow e a experiencia foi moi positiva. É certo que non teñen moitas opcións veganas ou vexetarianas, pero as que teñen están riquisimas!! Ademais teñen algún pintxo vegano, que pola noite está ben :)

Very bad experience - Edit
We went to the place following the HappyCow recommendation and were very disappointed.... busy place with local clients only seemed to be the place to be, but the experience was just horrible. The waitress was rather rude, I got a 8€ (!!!) salad which was basically just a bit of mushrooms in sauce on the top of ice salad, not filling at all. Oh, and some dry bread on the side. My friend has a meal with meat (meal of the day, Paella) which was just bland. Not a place to be at all, rather a place to avoid

El mejor bar del casco antiguo - Edit
Rekalde enamora desde la primera cerveza. Sitio muy concurrido por la juventud inquieta de Donostia. La opcion vegana consta de hamburguesa vegana casera muy rica. Local recomendable tanto para comer o beber.

There are are four options for a vegetarian burger. The burgers are fresh and tasty, though the ingredients are rather basic. The quality is about par for a bar, but at least the price is reasonable. Note that the kitchen closes at 7pm.

Every time Im in the old part of the city I choose Rekalde. Nice staff basque tabern with homemade soya burguers, good prices and friendly atmosphere.
