Incredible experience - Edit
We were Happy cowing (a new term we use for searching for vegan food) vegan stores and found this one. We work on a ship and it's hard to get vegan options all the time. We saw this place and went looking for the fabled Vego bar (I've never tried it but my vegan friend raved about it). Found the Vego bar, lots more interesting stuff like their spreads and drinks (Also Jackfruit meat replacement which I have yet to try) but we had a problem with the payment. It was rejecting our cards cause they weren't German so we went looking around for an ATM and left our stuff in a bag at the counter. After having every ATM refuse cards, we came back, sad, and the woman working there tried every option available and when we exausted those, she offered to accept USD from us. She said that she can see how much we want those products so she literally went online, saw the best rate, and accepted USD. This almost never happens in Germany and it goes to show how amazing this place was. Choke full of vegan options and goodies. Definitely recommending it!!

Healthfood store in the city centre - Edit
Reformhaus Schlosshauer is a chain of health food stores throughout this part of Germany, and this is their branch in the city centre of Bremerhaven. It is located on the main shopping street and close to the touristic sights.
Read moreThe shop is smaller than their branch in Geestemünde, in the south of the city, but it still sells many, many products. Apart from the usual health food, juices and make up, there are several sections of vegan food, all marked with green "vegan" labels. They sell bread, sweets and cookies, including special sweets such as nut chocolate or wine gum which you can't get in your average health food store. Then there are a large section of spreads, and a section in the freezer with many special things that you can't get as easily in Germany: Apart from the usual tofu there are several kinds of vegan cheeses!!! And most prices are even a little cheaper than in other German shops I know of.
Pros: Good location, Large vegan choice, Good value
