Serves meat, vegan options available. Modern Mexican restaurant with expanded vegan offerings as of November 2019. Open Mon-Thu 9:00am-9:00pm, Fri-Sat 9:00am-10:00pm, Sun 9:00am-9:00pm.
The appetizers and happy hour here are worth the trip but the entrees (vegan) didn’t hit the mark for me. We got the burritos enchilada style. The rojo sauce tasted extremely burnt? We had to ask for them to take it back unfortunately. I got the Verde sauce and that was okay… but it was just sautéed cauliflower and cabbage, rice and beans for $15 bucks. It also didn’t come with rice and beans on the side. Very mediocre. Next time I’d come for just the guacamole, chips, and beers. $3 draft beers are definitely a good deal. Guac was also on HH. Eh. Probably wouldn’t recommend.
We went for happy hour on margarita monday which offered $6 margaritas and we ordered different tacos ($3-$4)and guacamole picante and all were tasty. The waitress was super informative and knowledgeable about vegan items on the menu. We will definitely be back for happy hour again !!
This place is great. Happy hour is awesome as well. They have three vegan taco options and whole vegan options section on their menu. We tried all three tacos and they were great. We also had the sweet potato taquitos and those were good too. Lots of salsa and guacamole options. We just had the house one and it was very good. Margaritas and Sangria and Mezcal were great too. If you need a mexican fix, this will fit the bill!! Super nice server as well, very knowledgeable about the vegan menu and the mezcal options. I can't wait to go back!!!
They have a separate vegan menu which asks you tell your server if ordering vegan. I told her and asked about some items. Black beans are on the vegan menu. Refried beans are not but she assured me that's only due to the cheese they normally put on them. She said none of their beans have lard or broth.
I ordered a cauliflower taco from the vegan menu with a side of the refried beans. Food service was very slow. When my order finally came I asked about the milky looking dressing on the cabbage slaw on the taco. She assured me it was vegan with no dairy or egg. After I had taken a few bites she came back to tell me she had double checked and found that not only was the slaw dressing not vegan, but the refried beans weren't either! (I didn't ask whether they had broth or lard.)
She tried to apologize by offering to bring me a different taco. What? Comp the meal I am done eating here! She got the manager and he agreed to comp.
If a restaurant is going to have a separately labeled vegan menu - even putting it as an option on their electronic menu sitting on the table, then they should make sure the kitchen and wait staff are trained in the diet and understand the importance of asking when they are not sure whether something is indeed vegan

Okish option - Edit
Veganized their sweet potato taquitos which were just ok. Their chips and guacamole were delicious. Not a whole lot on the menu for a full vegan meal.
