Healthy lunch spot - Edit
A cute little organic lunch cafe set in a quiet and attractive residential street that is still easily accessible even for tourists.
There is no menu, just a set meal which in our case consisted of a small pineapple salad, a choice between either a vegetable congee or rice with some vegetable side dishes, and a dessert (sweetened almond milk). The tastes are very subtle so if you are a person who is into strong, robust flavours this is probably not for you. The owner explained that she uses no sugar (and judging from the food we guess she probably doesn't use salt either). The upside of all of this is that you can rest assured there is no MSG in there ;)
The cafe interior is small and delightful and we had lots of fun browsing her organic groceries which to our delight included things like organic black beans (Chinese condiment) and organic tapioca, both of which are rare finds.
For us, the lunch here was *just* enough to keep us going until the next fill, so not a place to come when you're feeling like a feast. And like most places of this genre the meal is essentially carbohydrates with some tidbits on the side. Ideally we would prefer this to be the other way around, ie. vegetables with a little bit of rice. Overall though, a pleasant if very light stop in Penang.
Pros: quaintly pleasant interior, healthy food , friendly and knowledgeable owner
Cons: heavy on rice, light on veges, extremely subtle flavours, overall quite a light meal

Nice little place - Edit
Jane, the owner of the place, is a very nice, english-speaking woman. She is helpful and involved with the environement. She has many tips on organic life and well-being in Penang.
The food is all organic and colorful. They only serve lunch now. Buses number 101 and 104 stop closeby on Burma street.
They also have a small grocery section.
