Definitely up there with some of the best vegan pizza I've ever had. The dough was absolutely perfect, the cheese they used was very, very good, and I could taste the beautiful wood smoke. So tragic that I don't live closer, I'd eat here so damn often. The only side I tried were the wings which were pretty good, although not anything special as they tasted quite the same as any of the other vegan wings you can find (not necessarily a bad thing.) The other sides I saw on other people's tables looked very good, especially the arancini balls. Will have to come back and try more.

Read moreI stopped going to red sparrow a couple years ago when I personally felt the quality of the product dropped quite significantly. With the new venue opening on Rose st just around the corner for me I thought “hey! Why not give it another shot?”
Glad I did - The new venue is gorgeous, the pizza and sides that we had were crazy delicious, the dough was cooked perfectly and the wait time was so minimal for food and Bev.
Red sparrow are absolutely worth giving another crack. Feels like they’re back with a vengeance and I am so here for it.

The new location has a real buzz about it, a rooftop dining and bar area plus a standard dine in restaurant at ground level. Those living nearby are very lucky. As with the previous location, so many fantastic pizza, sides, entree, dessert and drinks options. And friendly, helpful service.

100% vegan woodfired pizza, I'm in love. Two of our favourites are the Patatas Bravas and Cheeseburger pizza both are fantastic.
Read moreI'm a fan of potato on a pizza, but often comes with a garlic creamy base (which is not my favourite), but here the Patatas Bravas is on a tomato base with chorizo, and is a winner. And the Cheeseburger pizza tastes like, yes, a cheeseburger.
Ate in two weeks before Collingwood closed, and have just been to the new venue in Fitzroy. What a great new place.
And the Not Wings, OMG they are so good 😋
Have teamed up with Ginger Snap Patisserie, so now you can get great pizza followed by great dessert.
We also often get pizzas delivered from Red Sparrow in Collingwood/Fitroy to Southbank. Obviously, the pizzas aren't piping hot (they’re still quite warm) but they hold up very well, the crusts firm and chewy and most importantly they taste great.

Came here for lunch and got two pizzas with a bunch of dipping sauces on the side — everything came out fast and fresh. The crust had that perfect wood-fired flavor, and the sauces were really tasty. Great spot for a quick bite or casual meal!

After many years of reading amazing reviews for red Sparrow I finally made the trip. I had the chicken Burger with spicy sauce and ranch with chips. Over all there was nothing bad about the meal but I've had way better elsewhere.
Read moreThe chips were generous, hot and crispy but just boring. The 'chicken' patty was somehow pasty and stringy at the same time. The sauce was amazing but the bun was very strange. Every single bite of the burger required time scraping the sticky bun from my teeth.
I love supporting vegan places but I probably won't bother with this one again.

We visited after a five or so year break, and little has changed on the menu; I had hoped for something a little more tempting, at least on the specials board. On this occasion, we chose the Salsiccia (sans mushroom + pineapple) and the Patas Bravas. Both were pleasant enough. The waffle fries were surprisingly good and the Greek salad nice, but tiny for its $14 price tag.

I’m a sucker for the Hawaiian & Pepperoni but last night I tried The Volcano on their specials menu and it hit just right. Also love the beautiful desserts on offer from Gingersnap Patisserie.
They are moving to a new location soon but the current one is a vibe so I hope that carries over but I would recommend this place a 1000% to anyone - vegan or not.

Bit pricey but most food in Melbourne is. Love that this is a 100% vegan restaurant, great pizza and wings too. Only thing is the vietnamese style pizza i had a while ago was a bit too sweet for my taste, but otherwise would still highly recommend

Always love eating at red sparrow. I often get the vegan Margherita (yes I love pineapple on pizza sue me!) and have occasionally added the bbq chicken. Very tasty classic wood fire pizza that’s entirely vegan, what more could you want.

I had lunch here today with several family members. Between us we had several different pizzas and a couple of amazing pizza sandwiches. I definitely recommend the sandwiches for lunch; the fillings were gourmet and serving size was perfect. I grabbed a couple of Gingersnap Patisserie’s very decadent tarts bring home to extend the experience 😋
