Not recommended for vegans

They promote veganuary and vegan pho on their Instagram but the dishes that are actually possible to make vegan are very few. The few dishes that they can make vegan contain the same ingredients as the non vegan ones on the menu minus the animal products. The price for those dishes still stays the same though...so basically as a vegan you pay the same price for less food in this restaurant. It seems they are only using veganism to make more money, they didn't actually put any thoughts into making the vegan dishes taste good or worth the money. The service is really bad as the servers all seemed super busy and overwhelmed. They should really hire more staff and add some actual thought into vegan dishes on the menu. Fyi nothing is labelled and they don't understand allergens

Pros: A few vegan options

Cons: Very expensive & not tasty, Staff was overworked &too busy, Many dishes weren't available

Authentic viet foodie in Sg

Without travelling nowadays, the only way to reminisce a country is through its cuisines. @redsparrowsg , located at Dempsey Hill, serve authentic Vietnamese food 🇻🇳. The restaurant is spacious and have this Vietnam vibe too (See photos uploaded) and staff are very helpful and friendly. Let them know your dietary preferences and they will recommend accordingly. A handful of menu items can be veganised (can omit alliums too but need to request). There’s even tomato soup hotpot option! Via a gathering earlier, we have tried the below. G8 place to hang out with group of friends!

✨Pho Chay (Vegan) – Hot and comforting. Portion is generous and like the tofu a lot. Love the tofu and broth combi! 😋 The broth is v. tasty!

✨Dau Hu Chien Sa (Deep Fried Tofu, Vegan) – Being a tofu lover, I love this dish. Cripsy tofu went well with the chilli and lemon grass shavings! This & another dish w fried tofu on it, I probably had more than 5 fried tofu cubes or more ... haha🤤

✨Dau hu Cuon (Tofu Rolls, Vegan) – This goes very well with the peanut sauce. I would totally order this again next time when I’m there! Likeyyy the tofu and greens in this roll. Used my hands to eat them and enjoyed it mouthful by mouthful ~

✨Nam Rom Kho Tieu (Assorted Mushrooms, Vegan) – Savoury dish which I think will goes well with Rice. We did not have rice that night but I think that the sauce is defo goodie good to go with rice! Yummy! I like how it was presented in claypot too. Prettyyy~

✨Bun Dau Hu (Cold noodles with tofu, Vegan) – I simply love the fried tofu and veges in it! Yummy!

✨Banh Xeo Chay (Veg Pancake *contain eggs*) – Thin crispy pancake layer with beansprouts and veges filled inside

✨Desserts – We had Banana glutinous rice (Vegan) which is topped with coconut cream sauce and Coffee donuts (Veg) which made of cute little small donuts, served along with chocolate icecream.

✨Drinks – I had Iced Vietnamese Coffee (veg) as I love Viet coffee. ☕️ must have when in Viet~ and this drinks remind me of my Viet trips!

Pros: Lots of customisable options for vegan and veg, Handful vegan choices, Spacious and pretty restaurant
