Serves meat, vegan options available. Family run cafe offering coffee, tea, cakes, lunch foods, and snacks. Can provide for vegans. Open Wed-Sat 10:00-16:00.
This place is absolutely gorgeous. The food, the people, and the place itself. It's summer, and we are sat outside on the beautifully planted patio under an umbrella, enjoying the warm breezes. We've just had two vegan bowls (sweet potato, peas, rice, toasted seeds, salad leaves, beetroot, etc) and a vegan summer tart with roasted Mediterranean vegetables, vegan potato salad and leaf salad. And followed it up with vegan coconut and apricot cake with vegan cream. All was amazingly delicious. There were other options available, too: soups, focaccia sandwiches, and vegan breakfasts (for earlier in the day). And drinks, including vegan hot chocolate!! Can wholeheartedly recommend. Prices: £12 for tart or bowl, £8 for soup, and I think £8(?) for sandwiches.
Such a gem! Half the menu is vegan, we had takeout. I had a vegan platter, my husband had the Earth bowl and we had an apple and blackberry turnover and a salted pretzel brownie. The brownie was particularly great. Everything was so well considered, so fresh and delicious.
The food was amazing. I ate the most beautiful salad which was almost entirely from their own gardens. The flavours of every last item was allowed to shine through. Roasted heritage beetroots, fennel, carrot and a mustard dressing. The marriage of flavours was perfect. Several vegan options including a lovely brownie and the best oat milk cortado. Friendly service too. Do not miss this gem if you are plant based and appreciate natural food .
