Excellent ! - Edit
I love the creativity with the menu. I’m from South Florida where vegan restaurants are mainly fast food. Staff was friendly and attentive!

Great Vegan and veggie offerings - Edit
Excellent food and service. Special Thanksgiving menu but you need a reservation because it is popular. We go every year.

Amazing and unique ! - Edit
The food was amazing. The only reason I gave it 4/5 instead of 5 is because it’s not fully vegan. The menu had a good variety, and entrees I have yet to see at other vegan/veg restaurants! The portions are bigger than they look! The presentation is also phenomenal. I went there for my birthday dinner and was very pleased by everything (:

Great menu! - Edit
Extensive array of healthy and "treat" vegan, vegetarian, and gluten friendly lunches, dinners, beverages, and desserts at reasonable prices. I loved the coconut and herb encrusted tofu with corn cake and spinach. I wish every city had this place.

My Go-To Restaurant for vegan food - Edit
I love their gobi manchurian and their nachos prepared with vegan cheese. They have great special seasonal offerings like a multi course Thanksgiving meal. I can take people who aren’t vegan here and they always have something they like, too!

Great vegan options - Edit
A really nice little restaurant with tons of vegan options. The portobello calamari appetizer was SO delicious. My husband had the paella and I had the Nirvana Delight. Both were excellent. We had no room left for dessert but we will be back because they were all vegan and sounded great. Our server was wonderful.

Great place for a relaxing upscale vegan food. The oyster mushrooms app was very creative and tasty. The lentil soup was very cream and flavorful. The vegan tandoori was amazing. Love the cheese cake.

delicious menu, abundant portions - Edit
I’ve been going to red lentil for many years. It’s a staple veg restaurant in the Boston area. I don’t think you can miss on any of the menu items. Everything is delicious! A couple of favorites include Gobi Manchurian and nachos (request vegan). Also love their brunch! Most things are either vegan or can be prepared vegan if requested.
Read moreReservations available for parties of 6 or more. The AC can be cold, so I recommend you wear layers. 🙂 As expected, lunch prices are a bit more affordable than dinner but both are reasonable.

Best Vegan in Cambridge - Edit
Today I had brunch at Red Lentil for the first time. The dining area is quaint - tight but clean. The waffles were well cooked, light with a tasty syrup substitute. The tofu scramble was the best I’ve eaten…anywhere. Well seasoned, textured and flavorful.

OMG the oyster mushroom calamari! Don't miss it. Portions are huge. We had skipped lunch driving here, and we ate it all. Impressive beer and wine list too. The menu is large, and many/most things seemed vegan. I wish they would switch over to all-vegan and wonder why places like this don't. Takeout orders seemed continuous. Armenian-Greek neighborhood is full of life. They now have a 2nd location in Sharon.

No meat served here and anything that isn't vegan can be made vegan! I recommend the gobi manchurian appetizer and the shepard's pie. Lots of great food with huge portions so don't let the prices scare you away.

YUM! - Edit
I love Red Lentil!! Been going here for a few years now and the food is always so wonderful. Some of my favorites are the oyster mushroom calamari, the gobi manchurian, the waffles, and the benedict florentine. Everything here can be made vegan. The deserts are listed on a chalk board inside the restaurant and they change sometimes but they are also delicious! Everything I've had here is good and I look forward to trying more of their delicious options.

I love love love Red Lentil. The vegan French toast and Benedict Florentine (made vegan) are my go-tos, but I've enjoyed all the brunch items I've had there. Their cakes and smoothies are tasty too. I'm a little less enthusiastic about their dinner menu, but have never been disappointed.

Promising but didn’t deliver - Edit
The service at Red Lentil was great, but sadly the food was underwhelming. The paella was bland and watery, and the Jamaican jerk tempeh was equally disappointing. The yams were slightly undercooked, the coleslaw and Brussels sprouts lacked flavor, and it overall did not live up to expectations. It’s possible other menu items would taste better.
