Delicious Thai/Viet Vegan Options in Yelm - Edit
Husband and I happened to be in Yelm around lunchtime, on the verge of hangry, and didn't have high expectations for a good vegan meal but took a chance. The strip mall appearance didn't do much for my expectations either, but once entered we were surprised by the Pottery Barn-classy decor. Added praise for the squeaky clean and heated bathrooms. Service was immediate, courteous, and attentive and understood what vegan means, including omitting oyster sauce from the stir-fry. We didn't wait long for our order to appear. But what about the food you say? Absolutely fantastic! The tofu spring rolls looked and tasted freshly rolled and fried--no resuscitated frozen apps here. (I realize now that I didn't check to see if the dough was vegan so you may want to ask.) My almond stir fry had a lovely delicate flavor and the veggies were super fresh. There were also six or seven different kinds of veggies so lots of nutrients in the dish. I spiced it up with chilies I asked for and a little soy sauce for added salt, but that's just me. The real kicker was the green curry. We have traveled all over the world, including Thailand, and we had to agree that it was the best green curry we'd ever tasted. Very delicate but well-defined flavor. Chock full of a huge variety of vegetables, perfectly steamed. We decided on the spot that whenever we travel north from our home base in PDX we will make it a point to stop for lunch at this place. A new favorite.

The best vegan options for miles - Edit
Absolutely love the food, the staff and the family that owns the Red Lantern. They understand what vegan means and most dishes can be veganized, if they aren't already. The Ginger Joy, Mongolian Tofu and the Thai fried rice are favorites! A very nice atmosphere, although the exterior is deceiving.
