Staff Knowledgeable, Many Vegan Options, Affordable

We really enjoyed our experience here. We were assisted by a Ida who was knowledgeable about veganism and the ingredients in their food. She even asked if we were vegetarian or vegan. She advised they use a lot of bullion as a base for certain sauses, but they will make things special and make without the bullion when requested.

Some staff are not knowledgeable on what is vegan and seem to just say things to appease, ask for Ida.

I'd recommend making sure your order doesn't contain bullion, fish sauce or egg. Those seem to be the main sources of animal products.

Vegetable Fried Rice, No Egg: Okay, pretty ordinary, could use a bit more flavor

Salt and Pepper Tofu: Delicious, we love this dish, we might ask for garlic next time. A very savory dish with a lot of flavor

Seasame Tofu (sub chicken for Tofu): Pretty delicious, a sweet sauce, we love this sweet seasame sauce and it was a nice contrast to the savory salt and pepper tofu.

Mongolian Style with Fried Tofu (no chicken base): Good, a savory sauce, but not as good as the salt and pepper tofu

Five Tastes Sauce with Fried Tofu (no chicken base): Good, a sweet sauce, would have been better with a little heat added to the sauce. Salt and Pepper tofu is still our favorite.

Vegetable Chow Mein (no chicken base): good, we would have preferred the noodles be cooked a bit more and a bit more sauce. Could have had more flavor.

Overall we were very happy with our meal. It was easy to order vegan and it seems their menu has a large selection of items that could be made vegan either by subbing tofu or veggies with different sauces.

The food, particularly the lunch specials are quite affordable. They can be a bit slow sometimes but it seems to be when they are quite busy.

Habala Español

*ask for Ida, she is knowledgeable on how to make things vegan

*only a few dishes have fish sauce, Pad Thai is one of them

*most have a chicken bullion base, but can be made without

Pros: Ida is knowledgeable, Affordable, Accommodate Vegans and Many Options, Habla Español

Cons: Outside city, a bit of a drive, Can sometimes be slow

My Fav. Chinese place

Wide range of vegetarian/vegan options. Menu has a vegetarian section and they are willing to make anything with tofu. Super delicious. One of my favorite places in towns. Staff and owner are very friendly.

Pros: lots of vegan options
