Not my favourite - Edit

I'm not a big fan of this place. The food is nothing special, rather bland and boring, while the prices are rather high considering the quality and standard.

What's good, the foods are clearly labelled as whether they are gluten or lactose-free. However, it's not really clear which ones are vegan and which ones not.

All in all, you can definitely find a better place to have vegan/vegetarian food in Brno.

Pros: location

Cons: rather expensive, vegan labelling not clear, mediocre food

for the big hunger - Edit

good situated in the center of the interesting moravian town. the canteen-like restaurant is nice, not to hang around in the evening, only to get some good food and drinks if you are very hungry and thirsty for a good price.

Pros: good value

But what's vegan? - Edit

The food in Rebio is mostly good but I find this extremely difficult to find vegan stuff in Orli bufet. Why? Food is marked, so you can find food with/without lactosis (ok, milk there is), with/without garlic, glutenfree, with/without eggs. The problem is this marks are - in my opinion - random. Sometimes there is none and you need to read through ingrediences, sometimes, like with "karbanatky" you don't even have the ingrediences. It's really hard, even with this type of marking food, be sure if the chosen one is vegan. One letter V would solve it.

Pros: taste of food, variety, nice space

Cons: what's vegan?, price a bit too high, no free water

Good buffet - Edit

Let's start with the good parts: while not fancy, Rebio is quite a nice place, with a dedicated play corner for children. The food itself was pretty good, especially the soup! The various desserts also looked very inviting and seemed to be popular with the other diners.

Now for the not so good parts: when we ate there, the food was only lukewarm. I don't expect something steaming hot from a buffet, but this was slightly colder than I would have preferred, especially considering that Rebio isn't cheap by Brno standards (around 6 Euro for a soup, 2 curries and a bit of rice). I also don't like that they charge for water. Sure, it's only 20 Euro cents, but it's about the gesture.

Oh yeah, the stuff didn't speak too much English, so it might be hard to get information about vegan food.

All in all not a bad place, I would eat there again. It's not my favorite veggie option in Brno though.

Pros: nice interior, good food

Cons: have to pay for water, food lukewarm, price

A nice place - Edit

This place is lovely, the restaurant itself is nice and cosy and has a canteen feel to it. The food is really but if you go on a regular basis can get samey. They vary a few dishes but some have cheese in. But whats handy is that all the ingredients are listed (in Czech obviously). The only problem is the price, it is a little bit expensive. A good size plate can cost 120+ crowns (£3.00) and soup is 33 (£1)! Also some staff seem to include the weight of the plate, others deduct it? All in all its not a bad plate.

Pros: Nice setting, List of ingredients, Yummy Salads

Cons: Water isnt free, Price of plate?, Price

Cheap and tasty - Edit

Mainly vegetarian buffet with vegan options. Friendly, English speaking staff informs you, what is vegan and what is not.

You put the food you want on your plate and pay per weight at the check out.

Rebio is the only restaurant with vegan options opened on a Saturday. It can get really crowded.

Pros: different vegan options, friendly staff, tasty food

Cons: can get crowded
