lovely place - Edit

Très bien accueillie, je me suis régalée au goûter, le lieu est agréable et les gâteaux crus délicieux, le tout accompagné d'un jus pressé à froid, bref j'y retournerai!
The staff is very nice. I had a delicious snack in this lovely place, the raw cakes are to die for and i had a cold pressed juice to go with it. I'll go back for sure!

tasty and nice amount - Edit

I had the vegetable bowl and it was very tasty. It was a large portion, enough for a full meal. Simple, nothing fancy, but good.
The attendant was very kind, and did all she could to be helpful.
For dessert I had the red fruit cupcake. It didn't taste any different than raw desserts I've had before, but it was very good.

Good value - Edit

This is an update as today we had the brunch, and a couple of weeks ago we had the raw pizza.

I must say that the brunch is quite copious! And taste is good too.
Definitely worth the 25 euros, you might have even trouble finishing it. I think the bun of the burger is too thick, which makes it too heavy; so personally, I'd put only half-a-burger in the brunch. :)

The pizza is also a good value. Definitely lighter than the burger, so if you're a light eater I'd suggest having it instead.

The raw carrot cake was tasty, I prefer it over the raw doughnut, or the energy bars.

Nice service too, friendly and attentive.
Good option if you're around!

To start, I appreciate the fact that they decided to become 100% vegan. :)

We had the burger and the lunch set which consisted of a soup, a risotto and a small cake. We also had the tiramisu.

I thought the food was, albeit simple, a good value (€15 for the set and less than €10 for the burger). The taste was alright, nothing memorable, but nothing bad either. I would prefer to have more patty in the burger.

On the other hand, I found the cakes too expensive (€7~8) for what you get. Neither the tiramisu nor the small cake from the set were the type of desserts that would make me want to come back to have them again.

All-in-all, I think if you are around, RawCakes is a good place for lunch (or brunch on Sundays); but I wouldn't cross the city for dining there.

An essential cake stop - Edit

I went here twice as it was convenient to my hotel location, I'm not the biggest fan of raw food. Took non-vegans each time, though, and we all really enjoyed it. The first time we had the lunch, choosing the burger as it was a standard cooked dish and it was really amazing. The raw mint square cake for dessert was fantaaastic, hence taking everyone back for a cake stop the next day! The other cakes we tried did not disappoint either. There was a good range size and price wise, and it was all beautifully presented - and the place is beautifully decorated, a lovely relaxing atmosphere. They do have coffee too, although I surprised myself by really enjoying the spinach juice! :) They were also the only place to advertise their bank holiday hours when we were trying to check what was the deal on bank holidays - generally all the little details pointed to a lovely well-run considerate place, and the staff were great.

Pros: Fantastic cakes, Good range of cakes, Beautiful atmosphere

Cons: Limited savoury meals

Delicious brunch - Edit

I had the brunch one Sunday afternoon. It was delicious, really tasty and I have never really enjoyed any raw vegan food before this occasion. I had a burger and my friend an omnivore had the pizza option and loved it too. The starter was more like a desert but tasty all the same. The deserts they sell are pretty impressive, there is all sorts, I had a snicker type cake.
The place is run by a young Spanish couple. We got to chatting to the manager and he is was very nice.
The place completely vegan now, there is no honey in anything.

A Real Treat - Edit

As someone who gave up refined sugar a couple years ago, a good dessert can be hard to come by. I went to RawCakes intending to sample the cakes but stayed for the Menu du Jour.

For €15, I had a bowl of carrot coconut soup with bread on the side, a raw vegan pizza, and an apple cinnamon donut.

The meal was tasty and very filling.

The donut hit the sweet spot. It was more like a donut shaped cake given how dense it was. The caramel glaze on top satisfied my "icing" craving. I also took a strawberry, vanilla, lemon cupcake to go. I would pass on that in the future and opt for a more traditional raw cake. The cupcake tasted good but was very rich. It seemed like mostly flavoured coconut butter.

Pros: delicious food, good price for the 3 course meal

Cons: a little out of the way (but worth the effort)

amazing Sunday brunch - Edit

Fantastic Sunday brunch!!! Pleasant and artistic presentation of delicious vegan food. I had the pizza as my main. Terrific! Great selection of juices and herbal tea also. But make sure you call ahead for a reservation as seating is limited.

Pros: friendly and accommodating owners/staff, English spoken here

Cons: time to add a few more tables

A wonderful experience ! - Edit

I had a brunch last Sunday with my husband at RawCakes. The food was so good and fresh ! And the price is really cheap (25€) considering the quantity given and the quality of the ingredients :
- a smoothie bowl or chia pudding, quite big
- a fresh juice (done with the juice extractor every morning, they have several choices
- a wonderful burger served with rice, half avocado, houmous and olive tapenade. I think it is one of best vegan burger I had so far (and I had a lot !)
- a big slice of raw cake : so yummy !! Andrea is a wonderful raw-pastry cook !
- a hot beverage, coffee or tea.
The owners are incredibly nice and thoughtful.
Definitely one of the best Vegan places in Paris.

Pros: The food is delightful, Really cheap considering quantity and quality, The owners are incredibly nice and thoughtful.

Cons: they now have to buy more tables !

Amazing brunch! - Edit

I've had the brunch here and it was so fulfilling. Everything is vegan except some of the cakes which has honey in it but really you can eat a real good vegan meal here. And the owner is so friendly, you can hardly believe you're in Paris. The brunch was the kind of brunch you don't need to eat anymore all day, so really 25 euros for so many and so good food is actually cheap. The regular menu of the week is about 14-15 euros.

Pros: Friendly owner, Cute place , Raw Cakes are to die for

Cons: Honey in some cakes, but owner say they're wor

Good but not totally vegan - Edit

This is a very cute little spot, with charming decor (candy-box pink walls, chandeliers) and ample seating. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

We had lunch there (assiette vegan and a burger) and then some cakes. Everything was nice, but we didn't realize until afterward that honey is used in a most of the cakes. It would be nice if they would indicate this more clearly, or even better, switch to agave syrup or maple syrup instead.

They also have coffee, and said they would be offering tea soon as well.

Pros: Spacious, Friendly staff, Good food

Cons: Honey used in most cakes

Expensive but good raw cakes - Edit

This cake shop has just opened in my neighborhood so I decided to try one of their raw cakes. First of all, this shop is not entirely vegan, as the cake I bought (a raw carrot cake) contains honey. I'm not a vegan yet so I decided to try it all the same but I was really disappointed as they seem to promote the fact that they are vegan. I also found the cakes extremely expensive : I spent 7,50€ on a slice of carrot cake, which is approximately the price of a luxury individual cake from any famous "pâtisserie" in Paris.
Aside from these negative aspects, the raw carrot cake did taste good, though not extraordinary to my mind. Still, it was well-balanced, not too fat or sugary, and you can really taste all the ingredients - it gave me a very good impression of raw cuisine.
Note: As they have just opened, they don't take credit cards yet.

Pros: Nice decoration, Friendly staff, Tasty food

Cons: Very expensive, Not entirely vegan, A bit isolated
