Lovely place - Edit
One of my favorite cafés in Stuttgart due to its alternative approach to capitalism.
Read moreAll the snacks you can get here have been saved by the Foodsharing community from being thrown to trash.
You are also allowed to bring your own snacks or order something at the restaurant next door.
The selection of drinks is very good and fulfills many criterias of sustainability.
There are no firm prices that you pay. You are instead asked to pay as much as it is possible for you.
The overall atmosphere is simply great and I always try to drop by when I am in Stuttgart.

Good idea! - Edit
Be prepared, this is not a cafe where you can order food! There is a bar where you get drinks like beer, coffee and regional soft drinks and then there's a fridge with mostly leftover veggies and fruits. There is also plenty of bread. You can take whatever you like, you can also take it home. You can also bring your own food. I had bread, steamed cauliflower and tomatoes. You pay only for the drinks and you pay whatever you like.

super-cute and sustainable café - Edit
Raupe Immersatt is the first foodsharing café in germany.
Read moreThey offer snacks which otherwise would have been thrown away and you pay what you wish - it's a donation for their work.
I'm usually not a coffee-drinker (except cold brew haha), so decided to take a hot chocolate with soy milk. It was yummy, but even better was the oat-cappucino I had a sip of from my friend's order! The drinks are nicely arranged in cute pottery, the design of the whole café is cozy - in kind of industrial-alternative style. Also the staff is very friendly.
Pros: sustainable!, yummy drinks, cozy atmosphere and friendly staff
Cons: some items cannot be clearified as vegan, as they, are remains of supermarkets etc. So better stick, to fruit, veg, etc.
